Tuitt is a beast. He has been set back by injuries. Very underrated by the fans.

Very talented but has yet to put it all together. Maybe this is the year and it still might not matter.

I will say this, and I am sure I will get blasted for it. I think we all overrate Heyward a little bit. Great Steeler, good player, but I dont see him as the all world player people make him out to be. I think he and a healthy Tuitt are pretty even.

Cam seems to have tailed off last year and so far this year. I think Tuitt has more natural talent and upside but yet to achieve what he’s capable of....

Both guys are solid starters. From what I have seen so far Hargrave needs to play WAY better. I have always been a fan of his, but not a good season for Javon so far.

So, is Hargrave gone after this year? I know his contract is up but does anyone think the Steelers sign him?

Feiler, Banner, and Finney are both up too I believe on the offensive side.

Tuitt is a beast but also disappears from time to time. By far the best player this season.

As for Heyward, he has tailed off a bit but 2 years ago he was a force. He still has potential to step up his game at any time though (JMHO). The problem in the elephant in the room. Offense cannot sustain any drives to give the guys on D significant rest. Late in games they're flat worn out.

Is this the case though or is it opposition gameplanning?

Not really sure what you mean but if you're talking about MT game planning then you can forget that. I doubt he could even plan a picnic.

Keep Banner and Finney. Feiler and Hargrave are likely gone. Ramon Foster is going to be on the wayside of 30 anyway. Roll the dice will B.J. Finney as he has been shown to be a quality interior lineman. Have both Banner and Chuks duke it out for the Right Tackle spot come 2020. My early odds on favorite is Chuks but I am not going to overlook the work Zach has put in. Was 450lbs. a year before signing with the team. Is 345lbs now. Talk about desire!

Hargrave clearly is not being used to his maximum potential. I cannot blame him if he has any negative feelings towards the team.

Hargrave has the talent. The issue is not him. The issue is guess who?!?!

Regarding Stephon Tuitt... about time he finally unleashed his potential. Glad he has done so though. Now, time for him to go get that All Pro nod like Heyward did.

I meant is it just our guys getting tired or is it the other team adjusting at half time and burning our defense?

    I’m guessing both?

Do you think Tuitt benefits from having TJ beside him? Poor Cam

Tuitt has shown flashes in the past lets all hope he can have a complete season and continue to play at a very high level. He has looked very good so far.

If we getting gashed up the middle I d love to see us mix in some 4 3 with Buggs or Alualu beside Hargrave.
Oh sorry must have had a brain fart expecting something different or creative from Butler.

Well the LA game it was ridiculous how long they were out there. I would not doubt they were gassed as a group.

Tuitt is the only DL making plays, Hargrave hasn't done much either, Heyward has no QB hits or pressures.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but frequently I hear people say something like this and wonder what they really see. Just as often, the guy across from him is trying to make a play also and succeeds making me wonder if this is what a fan is seeing or do they really believe the guy is taking plays off because he doesn't win the battle every time? I guess it is all perspective.

Tuitt seems to be disappearing in the second half of games. He was dominant early the last two weeks, but he was part of the problem as the defense fell apart both games as well. He needs to be more consistent, though he has certainly been the best of the defensive linemen on the team so far this season.

As others said, part of this is the defense being worn down. The offense just can't hold on to the ball. Maybe part of it is halftime adjustments by the opposition, too. I certainly wouldn't be surprised by any offensive coordinator winning a chess match against Keith Butler. Most likely, it is a combination of those things.

Somebody mentioned Heyward being overrated by Steelers fans. The guy earned All-Pro honors two years ago. It's not that he wasn't a hell of a player. It's that he is declining.

Heyward is definitely better than Tuitt, but both are pretty overrated by Steelers fans. They are solid players, when healthy, but not really game changers. If Heyward's last name were Smith he would not have nearly the same reputation based on his play.

Tell that to the voters, most of whom were outside of Pittsburgh, who put him on the All-Pro team two years ago. He has also been voted by players to NFL Network's top 100 players in the NFL more than once.
