Conner is a good story, But not a good player...Slow as S@#&...And we have THREE All Pro OL...lmao...They have sucked and gotten blown back all year...But also, When you don't have playmakers, Teams can pin their ears back...And sell out for the run

It wouldn't matter if we had the pick. The Steelers coaches would screw it up anyway.

That 49ers team scored 41 points on Cincy and we held them to 24, should of been 17 if not for the fumble at their place.

He had an INT and forced fumble.
It filled a need and it’s improved the defense.
Just because you get a 1st round pick doesn’t mean that it’s a 100% hit. Teams draft busts all the time including who they think will be a franchise QB.
What it means is Steelers can’t do poorly with their other picks in the draft.

This is dumb because with the #1 overall pick, you could've still traded for Minkah Fitzpatrick AND gotten back a 1st rounder.

I love Minkah as a player. But this was a really dumb trade. Especially given the fact Mason Rudolph is unproven. The only way this trade works out is if Mason Rudolph turns out to be a franchise QB. Something I never thought was realistic. Today he looked like a dink and dunk system QB.

Agreed. It really doesn’t matter as long as we have Mr. Psycho-babble patrolling the sidelines! Wish we could draft a head coach.

This is the 3rd game in a little more than a calendar year that a Conner fumble late in the game has cost the Steelers a good chance to win. You just can't have that.

Minkah was going to be gone the day the Steelers traded for him. He’s already the best DB we have and he’s been in the system for a few days. There is no guarantee we get the number 1 overall pick either. Outside of a few draft picks in the first round in the last decade , they’ve missed on a lot. They got a proven player at a position we need who was just a top 11 pick and is 22 and early in the rookie deal. Outside of Tua there isn’t a QB that’s really some one to risk the farm on. Edit.. Reports also are stating that bens injury isn’t career ending and if he comes back for 2 more years that gives you time for the new QB. I think both coordinators are really screwing us over esp on the defensive side. If they are fired and new guys are brought in maybe we are looking at a 10 win season next year. If the Steelers liked a QB in this draft they probably would have held off on the trade

He was the 11th pick of the draft 2018 and one of the best athletes in the draft.Being we don’t have much luck in the Tomlin era of drafting db’s I’d say it was a great trade.Give Rudolph a break as it was his first N.F.L.start and has potential!

The trade wasn't made for this year or next year its for down the road. The guy is only 22, you grab them when you can get them. They dont know how to draft good secondary players so they have to trade for others. The guy was a first round pick they traded away a first round ,,same difference.

All this time I was wondering who had the crystal ball.
Seriously though calm down. We weren’t using the pick on a QB anyway.

I agree with this and have been saying it for a while. His field vision is not the best he doesn't have the speed for these sweeps they keep trying to run. Need someone shiftier. I think Samuels should be the starter for now personally.

Today didn't really change my opinion of the trade. I like Fitzpatrick even more after what I saw today, but I think it is even more likely the draft pick they traded will be in the top 10. This team is in serious trouble.

Boy I liked the way Minkah played yesterday, for only having a couple days practice.
I consider him our first round draft pick next year. And I am liking it ALOT.

We have traded up in the draft. This kid is a stud and showed yesterday being the best defensive player on the field. Who cares what the pick will be next season. You would rather have Sean Davis? Hopefully this defensive staff doesn't screw him up.

Randy Fichtner should be in sweats next week to give Connor and the rest of the offense a chance!

Art Rooney is probably busy drafting the next revision to The Rooney Rule! After all, that is far more important to him than football.
