This defense needs to make a stop at some point late in the game. So sick of teams making plays and the Steelers failing to get those stops when necessary. How many games in a row going back to last year has this happened. There is too much talent on this D first round picks for them to be 0-3

That loss is not on the defence to be fair. Offence was terrible. MR had no time in the pocket and they couldn’t move the chains. We have no playmakers on offence.

They finally got wise to Moncrief and Johnson comes in and looks like a NFL Wr. Cut switzer and start Samuels and you will see immediate improvement.

 

One went to NY, the other went crazy and the third became injured. Therefore we are 0-3 instead of possibly 3-0. Scrap that we have MT. Who am I kidding? Still be 0-3.

 

Going to be a long year. We need to face the fact this team is not good, with Ben or Mason.

We got Mason in the 3rd round for a reason. Not able to see a second read or move when the pocket collapses.

Our offense cannot run the ball or have drives to give our defense a rest.

Our defense gets gassed and cannot play an entire game due to lack of offense.

Our O line misses Munchak, same line no blocking for running or pass protection.

We could have 11 first round picks on defense and still not win games.

Fitchner is horrible as the O coordinator. I can't even see what he is trying to run.

We have a lot of tough years ahead of us with the situation of the team. Missed 1st round draft picks, Munchak leaving, and an O coordinator that couldn't run a high school offense.

Also a head coach that doesn't hold coaches accountable and fix the issues.

Watching today I felt like we had Bubby or Mark at QB and hoping the other team made enough mistakes for us to win.

On a good note, I like Minkah on defense and he performed well. I am thinking Miami knew what they were doing trading with us for our first round pick. This will set us back even further with finding our QB of the future.

Love my Steeler's but realized our competitive run is over and going to be long seasons for the next 2 or 3 years.

I guess I have a very different opinion. I knew the Pats would blow us out. They are just a better team. The Seahags game pissed me off, but it ended on a good note for me as Mason actually played way better than Ben. I knew the 9ers are a very good team, so when our D pulled 5 turnovers and Mason did NOT look like a total rookie deer in headlights, I was okay with that. I truly expected a 30something to single digit blowout. We are w/o out a HOF QB, WR and RB. We may not sniff the playoffs this season(and we actually might), but I am delighted to see the way the team is moving/changing. Give this secondary one season and they could be lights out. Give MR more than TWO weeks of first team reps for petes sake! Losses always suck, but I am optimistic after today even if y`all aren`t.

 

Add Dupree to that list please.

 

I like Connor and his story, but unfortunately he’s not your franchise running back. Tough kid with a lot of heart, but I agree...he is not the guy.
