If they can win this game, then they play the Bengals at home on MNF. That's a chance to be 2-2, then they're back in the thick of it :herewego!:. You don't want to go 0-3, with the Ravens being 2-0.

    They are all must wins.

But yes for sure as it stands with past history
Only 11% of teams who start 0-2 make the playoffs
It drops to 3% for a team who starts 0-3

However the Houston Texans started 0-3 just last season and made the playoffs

If we want any chance to win the division, yes.

Without question. For that matter, Pittsburgh must not just win this game. They need to stack wins until the bye. It will give them breathing room heading into the second half of the season.

Hope so but we have a weakness playing west coast teams that have TEs on the roster.

Absolutely and can be a statement game that they won’t roll over.

I actually expect to see a good offensive game plan, think Ben was handcuffing Fichtner.

Let’s see what he can do now.

Different QB he might not have the same struggles Ben did on the road. They say he prepares like no other so let’s see what happens. Proper planning prevents poor performance.

It’s as close to must-win as a non-conference Week 3 game can be.

However, in reality if we go 2-1 over the next 3, this is the one to lose. The Bengals and Ravens games are much closer to true must-win games at this point. There’s a decent chance that tiebreakers like division/conference record will factor into where we stand at the end of the year IMO.

Most definitely. Not only for a win but encouragement and confidence that we can compete and beat a potential playoff team

    ***UNPOPULAR OPINION***

Our defense is a couple of bad plays away and needs some cohesiveness from being elite now with Fitz.

Are we getting anything from the ROLB position? Double teams, make the QB move, setting an edge, sacks, ints, anything other than pat-a-cake with the tackle?

I kind of mentioned that in the gameday thread the other day as well. Yes, Seattle was getting to know a new QB, but the offense looked much more diverse with that admittedly small sample size we saw with Rudolph. Maybe Fichtner isn't as bad as we thought, and the problem is really Ben just calling what Ben wants?

Yep. I`m thinking this is a lost season as far as Super Bowl hopes go. With the likes of an improved KC and NE out there, there is no hope of a Lombardi for us right now.

Our REAL hope is Mason pans out and we prove we have a future as far as competing goes. If he does not pan out, we have a long bumpy road of mediocrity ahead while we search for a franchise QB. Getting the QB situation set is job one to have a chance to win it all in the NFL. I`ll be excited if Mason plays up to his potential and gets off to a fast start like Ben did.
