    Makes things interesting next season.....
Davis is really a natural ss, which could make for intriguing competition between him and Edmund's similar to Rudolph and Dobbs

Even with Davis healthy, the move for Fitzpatrcik made sense.

Didn't I read somewhere that Davis said he was confident he'd be able to play on Sunday? Maybe I'm losing it.... Not that it matters, but I could have sworn I read that.

I read that for the the Seattle game. He missed week 1 due to injury (shoulder IIRC), returned week 2 and went out of the game with an injury.

Good, maybe his replacement can provide some quality defense.

Unfortunate for Sean Davis I am afraid. I believe that same shoulder injury happened on the same shoulder. His value in the Free Agency market is not looking good.

All that said, I will say that, on a good note, Minkah can play Free Safety while enjoying his most natural position in the slot. Best of all, he does not have to worry about fluctuating his weight for specific roles. He can be the best Minkah he can be.

Now.... the issue has not been if Minkah can play. For that matter, the issue is not the talent on defense the same. The issue is the coordinator. I loved this trade!!...

This still does not fully ease my causes for concern though.

So the move was out of desperation to remain competitive and replace Davis.

Lets also not forget MF publicly said he does not want to play safety.

We went into the season with no viable back up to Davis? Wtf

If our season is lost - as most would agree it is... then why not trade for a lesser player and let them compete for Davis’s spot, while still keeping our high 1st round pick ? When a 9-7 team losses their HOF QB, WR, RB, and starting FS you cannot win more games . If you do then doesn’t that speak volumes on just how horrible your coaching staff was in the first place? Is this move an attempt to save jobs?

The risk/reward seems like its not in our favor. Best case scenario how much better is this guy going to be then Davis? Especially when your corners and ILB’s suck. How likely is it that Mason is our future?

Just to make it easier for me, can someone give a list of who ISN’T injured?
