Well he already lost more games in Miami than he did all his years at Alabama

I thought part of his problem in Miami was that the Dolphins wouldn't let him settle at one position. If he's not an every-down, full-time safety for the Steelers, this is a terrible move. The only reason it could be worth giving up a first-round pick, one that could be very high, is if he can fix the team's biggest defensive need.

I don't think he can fix all that ails the defense and there is a real risk of the Steelers collapsing enough to get a top-10 pick. If that happens, this trade could look very bad. I just hope the guy can live up to his hype.

well, we've proven unable to draft DBs.. better than us wasting another high pick on a DB. not too familiar with his play, but sounds promising.

I have a guarantee and something that won’t happen...

We end up with the 1st overall pick or Butler and Tomlin don’t screw this up too.

    Which one? :smiley1:

After Ben went to IR, Hodges was promoted from the practice squad to replace Ben. So yes they have to cut someone from the 53 man roster to make room for Fitzpatrick. I would suggest putting Moncrief on IR for the season.

I do not know much about Minkah Fitzpatrick. Hopefully he can help the Steelers bad secondary. I know some people will be upset at the Steelers trading a 2020 1st round pick considering that the Steelers lost Ben Roethlisberger for the season. And ALOT of people expect the Steelers to be bad and end up with a top 10 pick. But Minkah is 22 years old in his 2nd year in the NFL. If his talent potential lives up to the little info I have been hearing about him, then the Steelers got themselves a damn good player. Also, having a 1st round pick do not guarantee championships in sports. Steelers will have their other picks to find players in the 2020 draft. And the Steelers have a damn good history of finding good or great players between the 2nd to 7th rounds.

    1998- 3rd round- Hines Ward
    1999- 3rd round- Joey Porter
    2002- 4th round- Larry Foote
    2003- 4th round- Ike Taylor
    2007- 2nd round- Lamarr Woodley
    2009- 3rd round- Mike Wallace
    2010- 3rd round- Emmanuel Sanders
    2010- 6th round- Antonio Brown
    2013- 2nd round- LeVeon Bell
    2017- 2nd round- Ju-Ju Smith
    2017- 3rd round- James Conner

The way I see it, he was an 11th overall pick in the draft and we know he can play. If nothing else it is a significant upgrade on a need position. Steelers either A) believe Ben is back for sure next year and/or B) believe that Rudolph is the real deal. Trades are like drafts, time will tell whether or not it's a good one. I personally think it is.

I think, he meant that we would suck so bad, that Miami would get the 1st overall pick

    Hence my reply

Interesting take. Fair enough, I will respond with respect good sir. Who would have you taken in the Top 10 come 2020?!

These are your choices. They are as follows. Keep in mind these ten players are likely to hear their names called within the first ten picks of the 2020 NFL Draft barring extreme circumstances:

Jake Fromm: Quarterback from the University of Georgia

Chase Young: Defensive End from Ohio State Univeristy

Grant Delpit: Defensive Back from Louisiana State University

Justin Herbert: Quarterback from the University of Oregon

CeeDee Lamb: Wide Receiver from the University of Oklahoma

Jerry Jeudy: Wide Receiver from the University of Alabama

Tua Tagovailoa: Quarterback from the University of Alabama

A.J. Epenesa: Defensive End from the University of Iowa

Andrew Thomas: Offensive Tackle from the University of Georgia

Kristian Fulton: Cornerback from Louisiana State University

    Take your pick my man.

He was available 2 years ago. That's what I'm meaning. When the team was a super Bowl contender. Which there not anymore. So who cares about the 6 game suspension if he were here now

This better be the one time this coaching staff lives by their mantra. Just let this kid do what he do. No coaching , no messing with his head just let him work.

I know I get that. But imagine if both the Dolphins are Steelers are both so bad Miami gets two top 10 picks?
