It is making me nuts that we have to wait so long today to get our season underway! I want to know what you are doing to pass the time. (These other games are pretty terrible!)

I'm watching the early games. NFL Red Zone is the shizzle. But I agree, there's nothing spectacular about the afternoon games.

I am keeping track of just how poorly Luck is doing in his first game as compared to RGIII.

Have NFL Ticket, just jumping around game to game. Just watched Colts score a TD, nice drive, Lucks going to be a good one. Colts secured that they will be in the running for another 10 years. Peyton getting hurt was the best thing that could have happen to that fan base.

I think some of these afternoon games are great. Atlanta vs KC is a great game. Julio Jones is lighting up the Chiefs.

lol  How can anyone have a problem with Rodgers? He's an awesome talent and carries himself very professionally. Or is it simply because he beat us in the SB :lolol:

Agreed. The guy is one of the classiest, most down-to-earth players in the whole league. He's on top of the NFL world right now and he never acts like it. It's hard not to like the guy.

Yeah but they are still saying that Luck had a good day. Yeah he threw for 300+ yards but he had 3 picks, went 23/45 and lost. I am sure he showed flashes of how good he is going to be but compared to what RG did I would say it is a poor showing. I mean I know the guy is good but can the talking heads stay off his jock for at least 5 mins and look at the game objectively? No way I want my QB throwing that much even if they were down by 14.

I generally try not to take the visiting team in survivor pools, although sometimes it's too tempting. Detroit gave me a scare, I had them.

Are you forgetting who his OC is? Anyway, he did have a good day, 3 picks suck but it's his first game and when you throw that much, bad things can happen. RG had a good day too, in no way would I say Luck had a poor showing, definitley some poorly thrown balls, saw a few behind the receivers, had the picks of course but all in all, pretty good first day. In the end, I bet Luck has a better career then RG. I don't think RG is even as good as Cam. Just my opinion.

Interestingly enough, they showed Luck's first game stats side by side with Peyton's first game stats and they were almost identical.
