We are 0-2, with Ben facing down season/career ending injury. Our starting RB also injured. A defense that couldn't cover a puddle with an Olympic sized pool tarp.

Looking at our upcoming schedule things look grim. I don't see us winning a game until after the bye when we play perhaps the only team worse than ours, the Miami Dolphins in Week 8.

Week 3 - @ the 2-0 49ers. We always suck on the west coast, even when we are a good team. We are not a good team this year. L 0-3

Week 4 - 0-2 Bengals. They are 0-2 too but their offense has a looked a lot better than ours. With Ben I think this is a W but with a rookie QB I think we drop a close one at home. L 0-4

Week 5 - 2-0 Ravens. They may be the 2nd best team in the NFL right now. Actually they may be 1 of 2 teams in the AFC capable of beating the Pats. The Chiefs are the other. We get blown out by Lamar Jackson. L 0-5

Week 6 - @ 1-1 Chargers. See above. We suck on the west coast and Rivers will pick our safeties and ILBS apart in the middle of the field. L 0-6

Week 7 - Bye week. We would lose this week if it were possible.

Week 8 - 0-2 Dolphins. We get our first win in a veritable garbage bowl. 1-6.

At this point the season is close to over. We would have to go 8-1 in our final 9 games to even have a prayer of playoffs. Our back half includes the Colts, Rams, Browns, Bengals, Cardinals, Bills, Jets and Ravens. I see maybe 2 or 3 wins in there, tops.

Final season prediction 4-12. Ben retires, Tomlin stays on as coach.

How quickly you forget - the Steelers had a marvelous pre-season. So they're now merely 3-3. Perfect launch point for a tremendous season. Ok....that's where I woke up from this day dream to realize we's going backwards. The good news? Steelers still control their fate and play the Ravens twice. It's simply math from this point forward. :hmm:

The Ravens look scary good. Have to give credit to Harbaugh. He wasn't afraid to fire his OC mid season and it won them a Super Bowl. Then he wasn't afraid to bench Flacco for Lamar Jackson, who suddenly looks amazing. 7 passing TDs through 2 games. I think the Ravens sweep us this season.

If the Steelers go 4-12 and Tomlin remains coach I will be OFFICIALLY done watching the Steelers football forever.

I think we beat the 49ers. Just a gut feeling. If we do that, all the sudden we start thinking we got the Bungle game and we could be 2-2.

If the Steelers had looked terrible and got smoked out of the house by the Seahawks I would be on board with what your saying.
But, truth be told had Rudolph played all 4 quarters good chance Steelers win, and that's with a lot of terrible calls that didn't go there way.

I don't think we are playoff team but I think 8-8 or 7-9 they might acheive.

Unless Rudolph play lights out unreal

Rooney isn't going to fire the coach with Ben on IR.

just have to look at this season as one big preseason and pick out your favorites. hope some coaching changes are done by the end of the season and if Rudolph played well then have expectations next season.

oh and pray somehow that we don't get tied or surpassed this season in trophies.

Agree. Steelers can beat Bengals at home if the D doesn't continuously crap the bed.

Doesn't Garrapollo usually go down in the 3rd or 4th game?

Problem with the OP’s post is usually they suck with Ben on the West Coast. Those are the games that tend to be massive blowouts on the stat sheet with a low score and a loss!

We probably beat the bungles, maybe not, hmmmm.

I’ll go with the Dolphins since they are almost guaranteed to go 0-16.

I just can’t believe this is what we are discussing now. This whole organization is embarrassing.

Well, we bungled this game. I say we'll beat the Bengals, Chargers, and the Dolphins, so 3-4 after the bye.
