He's already an old 37. The motorcycle accident and the amount of punishment he took over the years has cost him some.

Rudolph won't tank... but the defense sure as hell will.

Gotta start drafting better on the D side, plus hire better coaches.

Surgery on throwing arm at 38? Yeah, he's done... Sad day for me and my son, he was the only qb my boy ever knew and the only franchise qb in my lifetime... That being said, I'm excited to see what we have in Rudolph now. Bittersweet

We have our guy, let’s just develop him. Remember Ben got his chance because of injury as did Dak Prescott. Rudolph seems to have a great pocket presence and a great arm. Build around him and build the defense up through the draft. The best thing Ben could do is retire and free up cap space. He was great and we’ll always love the guy but Father Time don’t care.

Tommy Maddox goes out with an elbow and Ben steps in..... Ben goes out with an elbow and Mason steps in......

Time to sign Hodges off the PS and Landry Jones off the street.......................

If it's Tommy John you might as well call it a career, It takes younger baseball pitchers sometimes 1.5 to 2 years to come back successfully from those types of surgery.

I see it now. This is going to be Tomlin's excuse if the team finally bottoms out. I hope I'm wrong, or maybe he just chooses to move on with Roethlisberger gone.

Does this mean Pouncey will retire? Hasn't he said that he wants to go when Roethlisberger goes?

Why even bother, keep those roster spots for others.

One man down. Next man up. It's time for Mason Rudolph to show the world what he got.

Hoyer is a no, he was terrible in SF and NE unloaded him quickly. We will probably give the kid we had in pre season a shot at back up (Hodges). We are not going to win it all this year and there is no sense in not re stocking and moving forward with youth. I like Rudolph and I think he can be the guy. We’ll probably see him and Washington start to connect, keep in mind that he will get all the reps and get better. We need the safety from LSU (Grant Delpin) in the draft! He’s a great safety and specializes in deep coverage.

Apparently, Ben hurt his elbow against NE.

Hard to imagine that my kids 1st regular season game that I ever took them too, was maybe Big Ben's last game.

They had gone to several pre-season games but Ben never played.

We will cheer Mason Rudolph on the rest of the season!

Now they are asking on the NFL network why wasn't Ben on any type of injury report this week. They are saying that maybe Ben told Rudolph but no one else which is hard to believe.

I blame myself..... it was the first time I've actually drafted Ben as my Fantasy QB..... Benched Russell Wilson to play Ben in this game..... pretty sure that killed the season. (I've got a long history of season ending fantasy players dating back to 1992).

I was gonna ask if anyone saw the 'injury' on TV, I was at the game and didn't notice any hits that might have caused the injury. We were just shocked to hear he wasn't coming out at halftime and Mason was starting the 3rd quarter.
