Didn’t we have Hoyer for a bit some years back?

No one really better than Mason in 2020. Now, 2021?!?! Trevor Lawrence. However, do not get the wrong idea. I am assuming Mason performs like Kevin thought he would; a First Round Talent.

Tua I love but have some issues about. Is he for real?! Keep in mind he essentially has a Bugatti Chiron in Jerry Jeudy and a Lamborghini Adventador in Henry Ruggs III. Those two are arguably the best Wide Receiving duo the college landscape has seen in some time.

Justin Herbert. I want to like but it is hard. Granted, going back to school was the right thing. Beating Auburn is no small feat. Among the QBs though, I would take him.... if Mason performs WAY below expectations.

The others like Jake Browning, Jake Fromm, Sam Elingher and Jalen Hurts do not fit the Steeler mold. No way, no how. Only Tua and Herbert do.

Among the two though, and again if Mason fails to deliver, Justin Herbert is my choice. Quarterback should not be the issue though.

    Let's talk pass rusher.

My choice?! Chase Young!! Get him! Trade the proverbial Heaven and Earth to get him. T.J. Watt deserves better.

Sucks. Hopefully Mason is ready. Hopefully Stonehands rides the pine and they support Rudolph with receivers who can... you know...catch.

First time in all these years they only carry 2 QBs and boom.

Sad day for sure since it's prob the end of an era and the end of the best QB in franchise history but we knew this day was gonna come soon. I liked what I saw from Rudolph and am more excited to see how the season plays out now then if Ben was still in there to be honest.. This way we can see what the future be holds and this team wasn't going anywhere anyway so let's strap it up and see what we got

Assuming he does not draft any capable Offensive Lineman that is. Not defending Tomlin as I believe this could be it for him. All I am saying is that Kevin Colbert (assuming he is still here) is not Ryan Grigson of the Indianapolis Colts.

The Steelers Front Office have historically invested on the Interior of the Offensive Line. Whomever is available in 2021+ is anyone's guess. That all being said, they will draft to give Mason the protection he needs.

Whether those future unamed picks pan out though is for another time.

This makes me so sad. I would be surprised to see Ben come back after this, he's getting pretty old and has been beat up a lot of his career. I think he's been considering walking away anyhow, and this is a great out of him to take.

That said, I'm also excited to see what we have in Mason and whether he's the future out not.

Glad we got that 5th rounder for Dobbs now because some bum, Hodges looked decent in garbage time. Colbert has really lost his touch since the Bell fiasco.

Ben passed Ward for second all time with games played for the Steelers with 218. Assuming this is the end for him, he falls two short of tying Webster at 220.

I don’t think we’ll be bad enough to be in play for Tua or Herbert. Both have too many questions any how.

If Mason is just modestly successful, they’ll stick with him.

I just saw Gerry Dulac, the Steelers beat writer, on the NFL network. He said that after the team meeting today he talked to several players who said that Ben's injury is more than just this year and his career is over. He added that this isn't official and he didn't say which players he talked to, but it doesn't sound good for Ben to ever play again.
