In and out of jail, along with probably 40% of the league.

Wow, that comes across as a tad prejudiced. So you think nearly half the league would be criminals if they weren't playing football?

The 40% thing was just exaggeration, but I do think probably 25% would be if they hadn't found sports. A lot of these kids come from very broken households and grew up in the ghetto. Without sports, a lot of them wouldn't have done much with their lives.

That's still too high, there are 1,696 players in the NFL during the season, 25% would mean 424 of them would fall into a life of crime. More realistic would be maybe 4 to 5%, that's about 67 to 85 of them.

I bet more than 5% of current players have been in trouble with the law multiple times in their lives, and that's with sports. Take sports away and I think that number goes through the roof. Same with the NBA. But hey, I hope I'm wrong and you're right, but when I hear about the background of a lot of these guys, I think that without sports they would have got caught up in the gangs and drugs lifestyle. I bet more than 50% would never have went to college if not for football.

I'm talking about hard crime, making a living off crime, not smoking some dope or a DWI, but actual a life of crime. The percentages you are throwing around aren't realistic in any comparisons in any areas of life. For instance, only 2 to 4% of the population is homosexual. When you break things down into percentages, it's much less then you think it is.

For Ike to get in a war of words with SAS is a lost cause. Use it as motivation if you must, Ike, but you did stink up the joint against Tim Tebow last January.

Well, I didn't check out what S.A.S. said but he couldn't play the race card with Ike, right? Or did he find a way to somehow fit that in?

And for all of you quoting stats here and else where on the board, 73.3 % of all stats quoted are made up.

Would not hurt my feelings if I NEVER heard Screaming A's voice ever again!!!

Well the state of Texas is 286,581sq miles. Which would mean that his ego is 537,162sq miles. That really is quite the ego! Mine is more the size of Rhode Island which is only 1,214sq miles.

Why is that every time that I read a Tweet it reassures me of the dumbing down in society? Twenty five years from now there will be a 75% true illiteracy rate. The other 25% will be will be competing for journalism careers where they will print everything in Sheep language.

Amen brother, telling like it is. Ike is ,what he is, a very avg. cornerback. Good tackler thats about it.

I have to disagree with your assessment of Ike. He is actually above average in my estimation. Not excellent but very good in coverage. He always takes the top receiver from every team and does a very good job of defending passes. As you pointed out a good tackler . He has good closing speed and good sense where the ball is at all times. Every corner gets burned from time to time even Ike is not immune to a bad game.

The only downside I see with Ike is he has trouble catching the ball. That being said I watched a bit of film from training camp and he was making some decent catches.

Anyone who says Ike is an average CB hasn't watched him much... Obviously. Yes, he had a bad game, but Lebeau also didn't respect Tebow and played the safeties on the LOS all game leaving Ike on an island.

Ike is an enigma. Stick him against a top WR like Larry and he'll be all over him all game. Put him against a good but not great WR and he'll get beat all game. For a top CB, he gets beat far too often.

Why no big FA offers when he was a FA? Why no Probowls?
There is a reason behind these, Ike is a very servicable CB nothing more, nothing less.
He CANNOT cover elite receivers man to man. He will have his hands full today
especially if we can't get pressure. And Denver does not really have an ELITE receiver.
Why do you think he has to fight Antonio in practice? Because he can't cover him.
