The emperor gets rebuked

3 of the suspended players in the bounty scandal had their suspensions overturned today. I bet the emperor is furious! I just wonder where these generous judges were when James Harrison was suspended for playing within the rules. I still love the fact that they overruled him though.

 

Goodell can rule again but if the players take the field this weekend they get their entire 2012 salary no matter what.

 

All 4 had it overturned.

 

Oh cool! I didn't know that. I just heard about it on the radio so I went off of that. The coaches penalties were all upheld though right?

 

Correct. The ruling does not affect the coaches.

 

I don't know how I feel about this. The players, of course, love it. Those who despise Goodell love it. But something about this bothers me. I see a connection here between this case and Ryan Braun's and Roger Clemens's. If you're wealthy and hire the right attorney and whine and whine and whine and whine, you'll get off.

I believe Vilma played a significant role in a bounty program, and the fact that he and other players tried to claim that a "cart off" wasn't about a player being "carted off" is the most proposterous, ridiculous defense ever--it was insulting to every football fan's intelligence. But, what do you know, it worked.

 

Yeah it is wrong to try and have someone carted off. But did they ever achieve that goal? I honestly don't know. I would guess they didn't since the suspensions were overturned and maybe they didn't feel that just bad intentions warrant a suspension. Heck if it did Suggs and Lewis would never get to play against us again.

 

It's funny that you call him "Der Fuhrer". There are these AWESOME Youtube videos of Hitler getting mad about things and going on a tangent. It would be hilarious if someone made one where Hitler finds out there is a new most evil dictator in the world and his name is Goodell. Lol. But if you ever have any spare time away from this site you should go over to youtube.com and check out some of the Hitler vids. I've recently realized there are other sites on the internet besides this one and maybe you didn't know that either. Apparently this little youtube site has different videos to watch. I'm one of the only people that know about it but it's pretty cool really.

 

There's actually one where Hitler gets mad that Tebow beat us. Probably my personal favorite is where he finds out there is no Santa. Man I cried laughing! I'm laughing even as I type this! Lol.
