He certainly made the right move kissing up to Ben in the off season. At least we know he isn’t stupid.

I don't see the point on throwing hate at Switzer. What did he do??? I would argue week in and week out he brings good football. ie stability at his position. You can't wish a player into something he isn't.

Coaching is the obvious road block. No way should a team with this body of talent be so inconsistent and erratic. Poor leadership.

I got ripped for saying that eli should've made the team over Switzer. But, we're still stuck with the same qb. Switzer would be a beast with other QBs

Lots of good comments here on both sides of the discussion however if JW and Vance were in the game plan more Switzer would be an after thought. We all seen what Vance can do when we feed him and the big knock on him has always been his health. JW had no problem getting open during the preseason and with our other QB's but it is awful hard to get open on the sidelines. The real hate here should be Moncrief he stinks and his targets should go to anybody else........anybody. jmo

And what isn't getting talked about it the brilliance of that dollar defense they used. It compacted those short and intermediate routes and made it tough for the WR's to get free. They would separate from one and get picked up by the next. That defense was too well prepared for the game and I don't think they got a full look at what the passing game can be let alone attacking that dollar with a strong run game.

Well honestly, they could be and our whole O could do some pretty cool **** but our coaching staff refuses to do anything other than "old hat" won't adjust, won't try to find a spark, I could keep going, etc... And that applies to both sides of the ball.

And you wonder why I have been so frustrated through all these years.
I am tired of it. We can do better and WE MUST.

Neither is what they think they are. Edelman is a monster. Even Edelmans physicality makes Switzer look like a tweener.

Overrated? The guy is the 4th string WR. Who is rating him higher?

I think he is better than Eli Rogers... but thats about as high on the rating scale as I am willing to put him

Like you said. Not even in the same league. Edelman was looking for guys to punish after the catch. Switzer is looking to find a place to get down. The whole notion of even coming within the same realm of the Brady/ Edelman connection has no basis in reality .

I could be wrong but it seems Switzer catches the ball standing still & Edelman usually catches it on the run.

You mean the dollar defense we’ve been hearing about us dreaming of? Or is that the dollar store defense we play?
It’s the same thing they did to the Rams and what they’ll do to all the teams with lopsided passing attacks. They’re dictating what they want you to do and the stubborn and foolish teams will fall into that trap. If you play into their hands there will be no reason for them to have to adjust. Honestly I don’t think it matters what they do. It’s clear our coaching staff has no answers for any of it.
This team will go as far as the talent level takes it. We will have our usual games where we’re just simply more, talented.
We’ll have our games where players perform exceptionally and games where the other team just plays worse than we do.
What we will almost never see is a game where you can say the preparation, scheme , game plan or actual coaching won us the game.

For all the slobbering of Edelman (not saying by you Roonatic but I'm really tired of the Patriot envy around here) and yet he only averages 1 more yac.

You'd think Switzer gets negative yardage reading these comments.

He is what he is.... small athletic quick receiver with good hands, rarely it ever makes splash plays. The staff trust him to make the right decisions in the return game and on offense.

Eldleman he isn’t. Spencer he isn’t either but that’s a different conversation..

I see Edelman breaking tackles, and getting first downs, Switzer not so much.

No they couldn't, Edelman at times is Brady's #1 target, he also became a Super Bowl MVP.
