Well the guys in front of him are not getting the job done so naturally we think to find someone to fill the void.

I do not know if he is better, have no idea if he will be anything more than a scrub. However in recent years the process of developing and retaining talent in this team (especially D) is mind blowing. Every year there are camp phenoms that are lauded and screamed about, then they fizzle into oblivion. Every so often a guy comes out of nowhere, is undrafted, then again bypassed by teams in rookie camps and finally gets an invite. He earns a spot on the team. Is he better NOW than some of the sorry sops we have, maybe not, yet the potential he has seems far superior to some of those sops..and those sops will unlikely be here next year. So again we cut, hoping he sneaks by waivers to put him on the PS. Often works, but in an NFL where edge is very thin, this guy is going to get picked up.

I am not mad that they cut him in general, mad that they cut him while keeping others who are scrapheaps themselves.

The number 1 option is fine, it's 2 and 3 that are eating up over 14 million in camp space that are the problem and they are draft picks and still here. We shouldn't have to worry if number 4 and 5 are better or not.

Agree: I did not understand why we waived Skipper; now he has been picked up by the Giants.

And Big Dan still has a locked up roster spot. WOW

I heard we cut Skipper to sign a gunner for ST, so a speedy LB who is not a starter can't play special teams.

I know pre season is what it is but when he got a chance all he did was make plays. Now that we have lost him I hope he does well with the chance he is given. Or he gets cut comes up to Canada and with his speed lights it up in the CFL for my second favorite team the Tiger Cats.
