This game while not a true indicator of this teams ability.... at least I hope not.... should at least shine a light on the gap between the top of the AFC and where this team currently sits. Now lets add AB(assuming he doesn't continue to self implode... and seeing no Twitter or Instagram bs during the game..i bet he is a good boy)

If the Steelers are content to compete at the end of the season.. they will probably be ok. If they want to compete at the end of the playoffs. They need to change things up. Trade for Peterson..or Ramsey.... get a splash player..... move on from Chickillo with younger speed and athleticism. Chick is slow and can't set the edge to save his life. He is all effort. Which is admirable. But we need talent.

Status quo is not going to get it.

Moncrief had a bad night, but Pryor is not the answer. Might as well bring back DHB.

 

Why did Washington run out of bounds?

 

I wondered the same. On the replay it looked like he was trying to stay in bounds for the catch and as a result got unbalanced. But had he stayed in that was a TD.

 

Good question. I *might* watch the game again later to be sure, but I thought he short-armed a couple of deep balls also.

 

Hang in there. You guys will be fine. Remember back to the opening game last year, both of our teams sucked and we tied.

I was listening for a few minutes to the sports show this morning (couldn't take it very long since everyone is ready to jump) and the one guest they had on, wish I could remember his name, but he said that when he and Steve Young announce games they always talk about how September is the new pre season, since no one plays their starters anymore, but it made sense.

You are not as bad as you played last night, we are not as bad as we played yesterday (at least I hope not), Baltimore is not as great as what their score indicated. You'll be ok.

The whole point was doing something different than the status quo.

You don't find AB at this point of the season... well unless you are the Patriots.

I picked Pryor because he had a 1000 yard season a few years back. Is built like Josh Gordon . 6'4" 230.... and can still run like the wind. Maybe I can't find a poor man's AB...But I see a poor man's Gordon.

But it's all good... who you going to sign that's available? DHB your pick?

You are making a bad bet there. The Patriots have to be the favorites to win the Super Bowl this year. They looked dominant last night without Brown. He will either make them better or he will continue to implode and they will cut him. He is a low-risk, big-reward addition for them.

 

It looked to me like he was moving to avoid the safety coming over in pursuit, but the safety didn't have a good angle on him. All Washington had to do was run straight and he probably scores. It didn't look like he was losing his balance. He just didn't trust his speed.

 

Nelson didn't make any impact plays, but it might be a good thing that we didn't hear his name much. I didn't notice him getting beaten very often. Hilton and Haden, however, were beaten quite a bit.

 

The Good:

The sh*thousery witnessed in the first half was enough for me to call it a night and be in bed for 3am

Moncrief. More like Good grief.

 

The Good: Devin Bush did fairly well given Keith Butler's ineptitude. 11 total tackles is nothing to scoff at for a debut. Expect him to improve.


The Bad: The Offense. I really mean the ENTIRE offense.


The Ugly: Keith Butler's ineptitude and Randy Fitchner's apathy continues to amaze me. Not so much in the way they have both been coaching but how more predictable they become and how inept they are as the game rolled along.

 

Last year we sucked and the Browns were playing their standard game..

 

It was a win for the browns lol
