    He did a lot for the game.

    Some would say a big stain...especially in Cleveland.

    Another legend passes on.

    Mr.Modell did help mold the NFL we have today.

    Love him,hate him or if your somewhere in between,you had to respect the man!

    R.I.P. Sir, and enjoy this weeks games with The Chief, Myron and all the other NFL greats who have gone before.

    yeah just picking up bits and pieces about what he did for the NFL as in televising more games, Monday night football was his idea, along with others.

    Good man to work with TV networks to sign these Mega deals, at the time he was doing this
    we did not have all the social media that we do today. Just my opinion, he helped alot
    as far as revenue sharing goes by getting these TV execs to pony up these absurd amounts
    of money the game commands today. Everybody is on level playing field in the NFL, if we did not
    have this, I am sure with the Dan Snyder's and the Jerry Jones of the world, the NFL would be
    a much different place. On a side note, just a question for any knowledgable Cleveland/ NE ohio resident
    what/why did Art have to move the team? I am too lazy to do research.The real story?
