    ok, try this one-

    3 players received not 1, but TWO Steelers Super Bowl rings despite not playing a single down in either of the two seasons.

    One of these is a fairly well known figure in Steelers history who later got significant playing time.

    Another is a guy who did play for them briefly in between Super Bowl seasons.

    And the third, the hardest one of all, is a guy who never played at all in the NFL and is a sad story.

    I was good on these questions until I re-read “Steelers Super Bowls”... so Steve Bono et al don’t count.

    Anyways, I’m going to take a guess that the third one was Jim Wolf.

    Wolf and Maxson both played in games (and actually started for other teams in their careers).

    One guy is from the 70s and the other is not.
