It sounds like he is worth a look, especially if Davis's injury is an issue, but I really like what we're seeing from Kelly and hopefully Hilton is an option at safety as well.

If I’m wrong I hope someone corrects me on this But.....

I think vet min is where they can sign a vet.... meets the required accrued seasons... to something around a million but only around 800k counts against the cap.....

Since he’s still on his rookie deal he can be signed to the league min... 480k I think

Not really. Oakland gave up on him quick. He's with the Patriots now as a backup.

Not what I would have imagined from the 2nd round pick.

The Steelers probably aren't interested since Kelly is playing well, Marcus Allen could be cut and headed to the practice squad.

Not sure if Hilton at SS would work ..because he's a really small dude. Plus Hilton's best asset is blitzing. We want players that is versatile & unselfish. We don't need another unhappy ex-Packer SS in the burgh...

It sure seems as if Kelly is the third safety right now. Look at how the Steelers used him yesterday. He was playing a lot with the first-team guys even before Davis got hurt.

I doubt it. They had to extend ben, pouncey, finney, buds 5th year option, stuck with vince all the free agents they signed, barron, nelson, moncrief, grimble, and all the dead money from Brown, burnnett, bostic, Gilbert they had to carry. That alone is over 96 million. Not much left to sign anybody. No hargraves, hilton, haden, davis.

They still have time to try and sign Haden.
