I have heard that NFL Network is done on Direct TV after this year? Since I canceled DTV, I haven't been following it much.

Does anyone know what the plans are for next year?

My local CBS and Fox stations were dropped by DirecTV. Or should I say... those stations dropped DirecTV? Anyway... looks like HULU with live streaming is my only option at this point for Steelers games. I sure as hell ain't gonna pay $200+ for Sunday Ticket on top of my current astronomical DirecTV/AT&T bill. Unless CBS/Fox locals come to an agreement, I'm done with DTV.

HULU doesn't carry NFL Network, so I am Sh!T out of Luck when those games are televised.

    A couple interesting notes:
    1. I get most of the Steelers games on live feeds on my laptop and just HDMI to my TV.....worked all last season....knock on wood.
    2. I canceled DTV and you won't believe what transpired! This might be worthy of it's own thread to help others out?

First they notified me that I would be receiving custom made boxes in which to return my equipment and that if the equipment wasn't returned within 28 days I would be charged $650. I received the custom made boxes on day 25 and sent the equipment back. They charged me $650 because it was day 29 when they got it back. I called and the rep said "I see that we didn't mail it to you until it was too late but I am not allowed to change anything" I told them to go **** themselves. They sent me numerous offers to come back and if I did the $650 would be waived. I ignored them and eventually they sent me to collections, collections called and I could not understand a word they said (foreign speaking of course) and eventually I spoke to a supervisor and told him the story, he called me a liar. I contacted Equifax and filed a dispute and within two days the collection was removed from my account.

The moral of the story is that it typically takes weeks and weeks to resolve a dispute with Equifax and this one was resolved in two days. I guess they couldn't understand them either:drinks:

Great. I have the whole-home-DVR setup with wireless server and multiple mini-Genies, etc. Looks like it's gonna be a fiasco to sever my ties with DirecTV. It's a shame... minus the continuous rate increases over the years, the DTV service was good for the most part... way better than Time Warner/Spectrum or Comcast cable TV.

While the service was decent, the customer service and constant increases was intolerable. I held on to it for a while because it was $7/month to add the service to my hunting camp and otherwise there was "NOTHING" at camp. But eventually it became unworth it. I am so glad to be done with them! No more hours on the phone every three months to fix the $75 increases.

Don't know if you guys can get Comcast. While I do like all I get from Comcast I never thought my cable bill would be more then my mortgage. Now my mortgage has been paid off for many years but my triple play from Comcast is 5 dollars less then my mortgage was.

I also live in South Jersey (Eagle land) where we get almost all the Steeler games every year.

I am also about to cacel DTV. First time in about 8 years i wont have sunday ticket, but with the rate increses, cost of ticket, and dropping of channels its just not worth it. I go cable route with redzone and save $100 a month! Not looking forward to the hassel with DTV though.

Directv did the same thing to me, I disputed the charge with my credit card company and it was removed from my account as well. This all because of the AT&T-Directv merger.

I am afraid we will all be paying a subscription fee to see
our favorite teams in the very near future. The CBA will probably
want so much that. owners will pass it on to the consumer.
