Mahomes sounds like he swallowed Grover from sesame street.

My Brother just texted it to me. Absolutely hilarious. Glad to see Troy still has the epic mane. When will he be eligible for HOF?

The NFL has soured me over the years but if Troy is not first ballot they can go to hell.

To this day I still feel bad for #43 .. He had such a great career and to get shown the door the way he did. Little wonder he was upset with the organization.

The NFL doesn't decide who gets into the HOF. It's a 48 person committee consisting of one media representative from each football city among other people making up the rest.

Agree. Since Ed Reed gets in first ballot... Troy Polamalu sure as hell BETTER get in first ballot. If not, this is a crime against humanity.

I'm obviously biased against the Ravens... but I believe Ed Reed was overrated.

Compared to Troy, which he always is, he's overrated.

Apples to oranges. That is like comparing J.J. Watt to Khalil Mack. Both are pass rushing legends. However, how they can affect offenses predicate on their strengths and traits. Troy and Ed are no different.

One is a Free Safety who has been widely reputed as the greatest ball-hawking safety ever. The other was a Strong Safety who has been reputed as the most versatile safety ever. Both players gave the likes of Mike Tomlin and John Harbaugh little to no worry in regards to what overages they could call. Both would also revolutionize the NFL in the years that followed.

All true but he is no Polumalu. The comparisons continue as if he meant as much to the teams success as Troy did. I think not.

Agree to disagree. I still love Troy. I always will. I am not blinded though by the fact that Ed Reed was his premier rival even though they played different positions. For that matter, both were so exceptional and transcendent in their positions that, any advantage one had over the other was so minuscule it was nugatory in the end.

Ed kept those Raven's in games they had ZERO business in. I agree 100% that Pittsburgh had the better defense of the 2000s but Ed Reed made the coaching of defense for John Harbaugh MUCH more manageable. For that matter, while many in Baltimore thank Joe Flacco for his heroics in their 2012 Super Bowl run, without Ed Reed performing in the playoffs as well as he did, Baltimore does not go as far in my opinion.
