Gotta take the long view. Make Brady work as hard as possible, even in a loss.

It is a long season, and the Pats had a month less rest. If they can sack Brady and get a few hits in (hopefully without the refs being told by the league to flag it), the wear and tear might catch up to him by the playoffs.

This is a bigger game then most think. Put ne behind the 8 ball early. Hoodie will not be able to game plan to stop an offense that we don't even know how it will operate yet.

Patriots have ruined the NFL. There are no words in the tongues of elves, men, dwarves and androids that can describe my hatred for that franchise.

I'm gonna be bitter about them winning 6 and possibly 7 for a long time. It should have been the Steelers winning 7. I am sincerely heart broken.

It can still happen. If you truly believe what you say, why watch the NFL? Women's soccer needs more fans...….

You didn’t read far enough into the thread. We forfeited, so you didn’t miss anything except Tomlin’s grudging acknowledgement of our inferiority (though it was difficult to hear exactly what he said due to the Pats’ electronic communications jamming)

The Pats haven't lost a home game in 7 years and that was only because Gostowski missed an easy FG at the end of the game against Arizona. 7 years, unbelievable.

You're right. I googled "the last time the Patriots lost a home game" and what came was the Arizona game in 2012. Upon further checking the article was about that being the last home game they lost when Gronk scored a TD. The actual answer is they lost at home to the Panthers in October of 2017.

Tom Brady at home....best record in home games (including playoffs): 135-21-0

I hope we beat them but i would not lose sleep if we didn't

The haven't been undefeated at home for 7 yrs, but they've been pretty damn good, 48-8 during the reg season 10-1 during the playoffs .

    Home losses:

    2017: KC , Car
2016: Sea, Buff (during Brady's suspension)
    2015: Phi
2014: Buff (season ender, with a lot of Jimmy G at QB)
2012: Az, SF. And Bal in the playoffs

Oddly, 5 of 8 reg season losses are vs NFC teams, they're 39-3 vs the AFC in reg season, 49-4 vs AFC overall.

Bet no one expected that the Bills with 2 wins a Foxboro would lead the league. Though those wins didn't come agains a fully engaged TB12

So they went 3-5 away from Foxboro last year.
It would help if the Pats didn't get a top 2 AFC seed, to force them to have a road game in the playoffs.

Last year, the Pats did not face any playoff teams in their last 9 games. (The Steelers faced 4.)
The last two seasons, the Pats ended their regular season with two home games. (And this year as well.)

Not a huge advantage, but getting a bit more rest on their way to the playoffs helps give them an edge.
(The Steelers, on the other hand, have 3 away games in their last 4 games, including the last two. Getting a first round bye to rest up will help their chances to reach the SB.)

I wouldn't care about the outcome of the game if Brady gets sacked and injured.

Imagine how angry we would be if we still had Brown and he was out for the game due to his stupidly "frozen feet" from the idiotic cryotherapy he did.

We've always had comparable talent vs them and i would go as far as to say we've had better talent at times. So to me its not about their players being better than ours talent wise. Where we lose is: BB vs MT. Who's your money on straight up? Their fans do not hope and wish they can beat the Steeler's as much as just expect it. Can we say the same about beating them? I hate them and being there the first game sucks and I do HOPE we win..

There, fixed it for ya Ward. ;)

On the other hand, he did have them cranked for the Saints game in NO last year when no one on Earth gave the Steelers a chance and they came within a gnat's eyelash of pulling off a W.

Yeah, let's try to get his pitch count up so they bring in the reliever..

But seriously, if wear and tear were an issue with the guy he would be worn out just from playing more games than any other quarterback since they always go to at least the AFCCG.

I say we kidnap Alex Guerrero and make him give us some of that magic potion he's been feeding him. Either that or have the Steelers all dress up as strawberries to scare wonderboy to death.

Rooting for an injury is despicable!!! You should be ashamed of yourself. I know I will be when I'm done jumping up and down cheering while he writhes in agony on the turf.

    P.S. No I won't

If this was at Heinz Field, I’d have us favored.
