Apparently Heinz is not likely to renew the naming rights to the stadium. UPMC is likely the front-runner according to rumors.

I was hoping for Long John Silvers Stadium.

No more ketchup bottles in the end zone tipping when the Steelers enter the red zone.

You now will owe a $20 Co-pay when the Steelers enter the red zone with UPMC

Have Hunts put in a bid. Heinz will rethink their decision.

The way the Pirate's franchise is spiraling, maybe PNC will be an available taker after Ex-Lax takes over the baseball field name?

I'd rather have Bell and Brown back than Hunt's ketchup bidding on the naming rights. That's how serious I am about Hienz ketchup. Hunt's and their world's best self anointed title can suck rocks.

Forget all the Big Name sponsors and rightfully call it Chuck Noll Stadium.

And it will be. They will spend it naming the field and such. Maybe a little at the casino. Maybe in some pockets. There will be no profits left that's for sure. :smiley1::cool:

Something that makes you scratch your head doesn't it? There are very strict rules regarding the classification of "non-profit". I'm pretty sure UPMC breaks them all and yet their tax returns roll on through.

Lol, I was just about to make that suggestion.

I do miss when stadiums were named after their localities, though.

Amazon Field. They seem to have a lot of money and there's no current NFL stadium with their name.

Considering the bad feelings between Pittsburgh city officials and Amazon for backing out on a distribution center in Pitt deal it would surprise me if that happened. Although if Amazon was trying to change what local ppl think about them for backing out of the deal, this would be a good attempt.
