I always thought it was funny that Mr Lambert, who scared large men, was friends with Myron.

Local sports celebs in TV commercials are always kind of corny. My only memory of Pirate great Pie Traynor were the sappy commercials he did for American Heating and Plumbing: "Who Can? Ameri-Can!" Speaking of Steelers and Kennywood, anyone ridden on the Steel Curtain roller coaster yet? The virtual POV looks awesome. When I took my family back to the Burgh in 2001 to attend the first game at Heinz Field (pre-season) and PNC Park on the same day (Steelers and Pirates both won), we went to Kennywood next day but the lines for the big roller coasters were way too long so I took them on all the old retro coasters that I remembered as a kid (Jack Rabbit, Racer and Pippen (now renamed). They loved them.

The Pippen is now the thunderbolt. I love that! Pie Traynor was in his late 70’s and he was still doing those Ameri-can commercials on Chiller Theater or studio wrestling. The players of the 70’s all loved Myron!

Boy Majave, you are going back there. I was a kid when Pie was doing those commercials with ringside Rosie
    and Chilly Billy Cardille. Wow

That is the new roller coaster at Kennywood, The Steel Curtin, in Steeler Country.

Great memory!! I remember being allowed to stay up late Saturday night to watch Chiller Theater. And it scared the hell out of this young boy. Now technology has really changed scary movies and the thrill is long gone.

Of course Bill got international acclaim for his role in cult classic Night of the Living Dead. I remember Rege Cordic also had a late night Sci-Fi movie show for a while where he would cut in at opportune times to play some pertinent Rock song or show up with a disguise - very much like Svengoolie does on MeTV on Saturday nights. Rege was truly a Burgh character and a half - here's a link to his "Olde Frothingslosh Beer" - a Stale Pale Ale, so light the foams on the bottom!
