I think this dude gets it. It may not be early in the year, but towards the end, I think he will get more snaps than Samuels.

I know Faulkner and Samuels have a college connection but some post draft quotes from Faulkner gave me the feeling he is higher on Snells potential than Samuels. I wish I could remember the quotes or the jist of them, I just remember thinking...."damn shots fired towards Samuels"...

    Come at me........:lolol:

I have also seen where Samuels is getting time with Conner in a tandem backfield. I've also seen where Samuels is going to be used more in the passing game as well. Nothing against Snell because I've also seen where he is being talked about as a complete back. This is a good problem to have. Our backs had nearly as many catches as our TEs last year. They make up a big part of the offense. Fresh legs is not a bad thing.

    Maybe, who knows?
I was SMH at the way the title of the thread was worded. Made it sound like something actually happened.

Snell reminds me of the bus. Maybe not as nimble but three yards & a cloud of dust. Will Tomlin use him is the question.

I said it when Snell was drafted, I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen by midseason.

Samuels bring too much to the table to be benched. They like his abilities.

I know they're both RBs, but they really don't play the same position. Samuels is a pass catcher, he's not used to blocking. Snell is your classic short yardage back. Their roles are different and there's certainly room on this team for both skill sets.

need to use all 3 with Conner leading majority snaps of course.

Tomlin will just use conner 50 times a game and he will be hurt by game 12. Then we sign some kind of tate to fumble in the playoffs lol.

I hope they are all good. You can never have too much talent.

I think we need to see some from all 3. Conner will get the majority but need some more of Samuels and Snell both.

Running the running backs into submission, usually means an injury by the end of the year.

Whomever has the better blocking/blitz pick-up will be the #2. That's the prevailing factor.

Snell hasn't even seen an NFL blitz package yet, so....

Never mind Samuels, I think Snell will be pushing Conner for the number 1 spot but not this year.

    Year 2, very possible.

Hence the reason Conner saw little playing time his rookie season.

what makes you say this? Conner is really good however his health is a concern.

A bruiser back like Snell would be awesome if he is any good.

That's a big LOL for me now that i look back on it lol

Conner’s ball security concerns me too. He’s had some bad fumbles that just looked like they shouldn’t have happened. He is good overall though. I agree with that.
