Somebody needs to come up with a brace that doesnt restrict the player or slow him down but provides more support and stops the side movement it seems its happening more and more

Yes as crazy as it sounds the more you avoid this game you have an opportunity to complete an entire year.

Spences injury oddly did not look like there was any contact. His knee literally went backwards . Perhaps trying to place to right foot and change direction? Not sure at this point.. I saw it happen and have no explanations..

This is not a major blow to the team but if he was going to replace Farrior this year (51) which there is no way in hell he could do it as a rook then the assumption is Footes job is safe for now

Crappy but it's part of the game I guess. In 2008 we lost the #1 pick Mendenhall to injury and the #3 pick Bruce Davis was pretty much inactive all of that year. Obviously different scenarios but the same net result. The injuries hurt us this year but they can be overcome.

I'm pretty sure Davis was inactive due to a medical condition known as complete suckage.

Sometimes your bodyframe is not built to take on so much weight and force. Players are getting bigger, stronger and faster. But the body more importantly the frame remains the same. That when you see people blowing out knees by simply taking a step.

Presumably we bring Mortly Ivy back in, if Spence is done for the season? Do we have to wait for him to clear waivers before we do?

On the brighter side,Did you know that Gregg LLoyd blew out both of his knees his first two seasons,
We all know what kind of ball player he became. Lets hope both of these young men come back from these injuries
to perform as well as Gregg did. They are both big time players that we will need in the future,
I will admit I was skepitcal on the Spence pick but after watching him play he has surpassed Sly
and was well on his way to taking over Foote's job by mid season. He has a BIG MOTOR,and ball skills
I usually like this over measurables, I must have had a brain freeze, shame on me for not trusting my heart.

That does suck, but honestly if we had to lose a couple guys, it's better that it's fringe starters than Troy, Woodley, Ben, etc

Complete freak injury. Too bad. With Sylvester hurt, we are razor thin at ILB.

I was really hoping to see Spence progress throughout the year and make some plays in specific packages and rotating in. So obviously that isn't happening, but the real kicker is the depth issue this leaves us with.
As someone else mentioned it would seem maybe Ivy would be brought back. Waiver wire is 24 hours, right? If so his status should be known by now.
Also seeing that this could be the in for Adrian Robinson...was he playing inside or outside though?

I also wonder if Carter can't play on the inside, I know he plays outside. His body type looks more like an inside backer than outside. Regardless I really like the motor on him.

johnson, robinson, carter and hicks have all been learning both positions. timmons was learning both inside spots. we still have foote and johnson has played both inside and out during his time in the league. he has had a good preseason. worilds and sylvester will be back, so i'm not really worried about enough depth at LB. beachum and adams and lee and malecki and even chris scott have looked much much better the last couple of games. we still have essex and legs too. we should be alright until that big young stud comes back.

Mike Williams skipped camp? I suppose he was spending the entire time hanging out with Deuce Stanley?
