    Is he still alive?

Is he going to be a Steeler?

Was he injured all season or was it just the yips?

What has he been doing since the season ended?

You know I had kind of forgotten about all of that. Thinking back on it, that was an epic, epic, meltdown. I don't know if I've ever seen anything like that. The guy completely fell apart. And it wasn't like he was just pretty good one year and then the next year he wasn't so good. He was amazing the year before, and he was the worst kicker in football, by a mile, the very next year.

Unless his future plans are being a full time high school substitute teacher and asst. football coach, he better be kicking with his holder and snapper. Not just him kicking with a tee.

    He will rebound.

Something got into his head and he wasn't able to overcome it. He just has to get away, show up in July and get back at it.

Boswell was never the same after kicking in that monsoon up in Cleveland.

I think he rebounds this year.

He’ll be fine. Probably have a pro Bowl season.

Boswell started to get his :poopy: together towards the end of the season. I didn’t see him getting the yips so it’s hard to base anything on them getting flushed. But my general feeling is he will be fine. If so that counts for 2 wins or better.

That miss to win the game in Cleveland derailed the season in so many ways. I always think about that when I think of this past season. It ruined Boswell and it ruined the team the rest of the way.

His recent past accomplishments warrant a chance to rebound

Unless he had an undisclosed injury that was worthy of all those misses I think you need to get rid of him unfortunately.

The yips can be a horrible thing. I remember watching Ernie Els 6 putt from less than 2 feet.

He has to get off to a good start. Kickers are as mental as they get, once doubt creeps in, messes them up.

He was as big a reason as any for missing the playoffs last year.

He had to be sandbagging. 6 times from 2 feet?

Matt McCrane should still be on the roster in order to compete for the position. Instead the Front Office let him go for another roll of the dice. What harm would it have done carrying him through camp in order to go with the better of the two? If Boswell returns to his 2017 form then that's great. If he looks like he did in 2018 we're doomed. This team really can't afford that gamble.

Kickers and LB's. Harrison was never the same after he tried long snapping!

There are two kickers on the roster right now, so Boz will have competition from Matthew Wright. Clearly they felt McCrane wasn’t the best option, or Wright outplayed him at tryouts.

Stats-wise, McCrane looks better than Wright’s college performances, though Wright was fairly solid at 40-49 yards.

I think Boswell can turn it around. My bigger kicking question is why is Berry still on the team? For every good punt he has 15 bad ones

I agree. I would rather have a punter who punts consistently between 40 and 45 yards than someone who will blast a 68 yarder one time and then shank the next one 23 yards.
