As a steeler since birth.....I am glad we got rid of the rif raft. there is no I in steelers. Antonio and leveon believed in I. without big ben and the offensive line there would be no Antonio or leveion. they were two guys who thought they were bigger than team. The steelers make players out of men. The steel.

Yeah my son some how became obsessed with the world most famous Kaiju last year and right before the new toy line for the movie hit Walmart I was looking at trying to order Bandai Godzilla figures from Japan to make his xmas.

Welcome. My question is which one is Rif and what fool is Raft? I know the one that's called Ding Dong though.

In all seriousness, this may be exactly what this team needs.

Welcome and I am in agreement with you. However, most teams have knuckleheads like these two on their teams but it is put in check by strong leadership within the organization. We don't have this, obviously. The one's that enabled the behavior we are so happy to get rid of has not changed.

Welcome. There's basically 2 camps here. You will witness an epic struggle between realists like me and Pollyannas like Glenn.

I’m thinking there are 2 camps here. You will witness an epic struggle between realists like me and chronic repetitive whiners like one of the posts above you.

When the knuckleheads are all-pro level / potentially best in the league at their position, they are not going to be "put in check by strong leadership".

More like the "put on the trading block" by strong leadership.

Lets say strong leadership keeps most teams from being drama central/ laughing stock for most of the season and well beyond. Better?

I usually just lurk here but I do agree it's not about having the "Best" players, it's more about having the "right" players. I'm optimistic the team will be better in spite of losing two major talents. Gase did not want Bell on the Jets I believe because he wants players to buy in, go to war for each other...with Bell not showing up already I think he is seeing that Bell is about Bell, not the team. Honestly, I'm glad they are gone.

I think you need to give examples, and be ready when they are shot down. I think that if you take a closer look at teams with "strong leadership", you'll find a lot of more drama than you are remembering.

For example, Belichick is usually given as a prime example of strong leadership by a coach. Yet he let Aaron Hernandez be a problem, because of his talent level. (For all of his threats to kick Hernandez off the team, he didn't do it until after the murder arrest. And if someone points out that AH had severe CTE and was out of control, that again points out that "strong leadership" has its limits.)

Thanks for that info! I did not know that story. I'm just not a big fan of the song. As a hater of Boston sports I'm really pulling for the Blues. I've been watching all the games and was wondering if I was hearing that right. Very odd!!

Yeah the Blues started using it as the locker room song after a win, a few players had it played at a party if I remember the story right and thought it was upbeat and fun so they wanted in the locker room, from there it was caught on air and the fans took over and now it's a thing.

People who think two minor acts on social media constitute turmoil need a better dictionary.
