    https://steelersdepot.com/2019/05/buy-or-sell-sean-davis-will-produce-3-turnovers-in-2019/

    Quoted from his sell:

"Outside of Ryan Shazier, the only players who have recorded three or more interceptions in a season since Troy Polamalu quite a while ago were Davis, Artie Burns, and Mike Mitchell. Mitchell is gone, Burns is fending for a job, and Davis hasn’t exactly been a ballhawk throughout his career."

    WHAAA?!?!

You forgot Willie Gay's 3 and all three taken to the house year? he even had one called back on a penalty I believe!

    Sheesh!!!

    I think the problem is

Nowadays everybody wants to talk like they got something to say
But nothing comes out when they move their lips
    Just a bunch of gibberish
And SteelersDepot act like they forgot about Gay

William Gay and Deshea Townsend... most underrated CBs in Steeler history.

Both were average in my opinion and it took townsend 5 years before he became a full time starter, and Gay wasnt a fan favorite untill later in his career......

Yeah, but those two are better than just about every CB Steelers have drafted over the past 10 years.

Looks like they blew it with artie burns, we have only had two great corners in mel blount and woodson and even getting chad scott in the first round with the 8th pick he only lasted 7 years and 2 with the patriots, scott did have 2 pretty good years with us, getting 5 picks in back to back years 2000 and 2001, but they released him in 04 after 7 years, burns is the biggest head scratcher of all time, who evaluated him to make us draft him in the 1st round, surely not tomlin who was a DB coach:facepalm:

Gay was much better in his second stint with Pittsburgh than his first.

I would put Ike up there as borderline great.

I will say when William Gay intercepted that ball it did turn into a pick six, he had a knack for that.

He was also a very good blitzer for a DB.

I think he was better as the nickel than as a starting outside corner, irrespective of whether it was the first or second stint.

Is that where Lake played him his first season as coach? Because Gay played much better that year, then left and continued playing well when he returned.

This is going back a ways and may tax my memory, but I think he was the nickel with Ike and McFadden on the outside back then

His first stint it seemed like he was always there with the receiver, he just never made a play on the ball early in his career.

I think he said when he really started watching tape and studying is when he started getting his head around and jumping routes.
