It seems a long way off, but the Steelers now know their opponents for the 2019 season.

While the dates and times won’t be announced for a while, normally in April, the Steelers know who will be on the schedule, including the traditional AFC North opponents.

At home the Steelers will play the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns in the North, in addition to the Buffalo Bills, Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks.

On the road the team will face Baltimore, Cincinnati and Cleveland, as well as the Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Chargers, New England Patriots, New York Jets and San Francisco 49ers.

This is a nice refresher, but I think this came out a long while ago?

Last year the preseason was announced April 9. Regular season April 19.

I guess the Big Ben/great chest showdown will have to wait for the playoffs.

Just have to decide which Left Coast game to attend - AZ, SF or LA? Best chances of W's in AZ or SF but best game probably against LA Chargers, plus it's a more meaningful AFC game. Glendale AZ is a great place for Steeler Nation on game days. The restaurants, bars and stores can't believe the sea of B&G all around. Reminiscent of a college football environment. Chargers home field in Carson is a dud location and SF's home field in Santa Clara is a bit snooty. I think I just answered my own question. "By the Time I Get to Phoenix......................"

Steelers will be lucky to win one of the three mountain/pacific time zone games. Wouldn't surprise me if they lost all 3.

I give you an "A" for consistency! You'll have to be the judge on your regularity. :hehehe:

Do you really think popcorn will have the troops ready for those games after what we've witnessed over the past 10 years? 49ers and Cardinals are awful teams right now, but those games will either go down to the wire or will be over by mid-4th quarter with the Steelers laying their usual egg.

If we have a good year, the tough games that look like losses are on the road in NE, SD. If we have a bad year, then no game is safe, LOL.

AZ, LAC, NE, NYJ and SF... popcorn losses. Sprinkle in 3 division losses and 1 other random loss = 7-9

Normally I thought you were just a grumpy old nut who can’t pick winners. Then you kicked butt in the weekly pickem. Now I no longer think you can’t pick winners. :smiley1:

Heinz never picks winners, just the losers. He picked the Steelers to lose every game last year in the weekly predict the score. But I have to say he was pretty good in the pick 'em contest.

Your question is very confusing? I don’t think they will go 16-0. Am I also wasting my time?

I had this same empty feeling 20 years ago...1999. Steelers went 6-10.

At least 99 was a good year for movies....Matrix, Office Space and American Beauty.

If you're a doom and gloom fan 24/7, always predicting your team to suck, then why waste your time rooting for them. Where's the joy in that?

I don't think we are going to go 16-0 either but I root the same all 16 weeks sometimes more weeks and sometimes less weeks(LIKE THIS YEAR) but if you call it like you see it it makes you doom and gloom and everyone else miserable. I guess everyone has different ways to look at it.......... Go Steelers! :herewego:

On any given Sunday game there could be 3 thousand or so Steeler fans there in the desert. They bring in extra tents and TV's. It's quite amazing thing to see in the desert when you drive up and the huge banner says "YOUR IN STEELER COUNTRY". After every steeler touchdown the staff dances on the bars and tables with blarring Steeler music. The owners are from Pgh and love the Steelers.

I'd of loved to have played the Raiders. So a little disappointed. Was hoping for the opportunity to smack some sense into Mr. Big Chest.

I am pleased to see the Steelers play Le'veon, that is if he's not injured. I think eyes will open up pretty good running behind that line. If I'm the Jets, I'm investing in O-line in the draft bigtime.

Other than that, the Bills, Dolphins, Cardinals, 49s, Jets, and Seahawks should be wins.

The Colts, Pats, Chargers will be tough.

    The Ravens don't scare me.

The Browns could be tough, but right now it's all on paper. Have yet to see this team have any real playoff aspirations. Having a lot of egotistic personalities doesn't necessarily cut the mustard. Will have to see on that one.

I'm still calling playoffs. Probably not much of a record different than this year, but still leading the division.
