Doesn't say much for Lewis, cutting that disease loose after he is no longer head coach.

He completely enabled that culture over there.

Back in the Cowher days, and even the early Tomlin days, the Steelers had a team first culture. The will to win was high, and the players held themselves, and those around them to the highest standards. Were that still the case I think Burfict could come in here, conform to the team culture and be an asset. Unfortunately this is no longer the case. The culture here is questionable at best, and Burfict's antics would end up being just as bad here as they were in Cincy. Hard pass for me. I could see Burfict going to NE and being a model citizen for a year or two.

We need more than an ILB on defense. There is no more big nasty on this D! No team fears our pass rush.

He's a part time player now anyway. He'll give you a few good snaps a game or bursts, but that's all you're getting from him.

Wouldn't be great if they traded Dupree for a pack of Lucky's and a jug of hooch.

Watt is coming of his own and will have to be accounted for. Hell he already is. With Dupree getting swallowed up all the time they concentrate on Watt. The same will happen this upcoming season with this Dud waste on the field.

Can you believe that the Brows used the #22 overall pick for this guy? Maybe Jimmy just liked the idea of having a guy named Johnny running his team .... the Jimmy and Johnny show?

that doesn't even make sense. For two years now we have been one of two in sacks.

NE has never even came close as a team to leading the league in sacks. But they always seem to get pressure when it MATTERS most. That's what is important.. not us dominating the Bengals oline and then looking at the stastics at the end of the year like that validated something. Yeah we led it the year before last and what happened vs jax in the playoffs? Couldn't touch Bortles with a 10 ft pole.

if my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle. We did and do get sacks is the premise. Every team would like to pick and choose when they occur. We also get pressure but there are 11 guys on the field and the play doesn't stop at that point. Our sacks and pressure isn't the biggest problem, it's the coverage behind it.

If I remember correctly, Tomlin's questionable scheme was to rush only 2 or 3 against Bortles.

Showing your football knowledge. A great pass rush can make a subpar secondary look great. Like the 07 giants. They had a decent secondary but a hellacious pass rush and that's why they shut Brady and co down. Idc if its deion Sanders and darrelle Revis with ed Reed and ronnie lott behind them if the qb stands back there with all day to throw they will eventually find SOMEONE open. Coverage sacks do happen occasionally but they arent that consistent that they could be relied upon every play. They go hand and hand but a Great pass rush can overcome a subpar secondary than the latter. And lol the great teams are the ones who get pressure when it counts lmao so they DO PICK and choose when it where it happens.

kiss my azz you punk *****. You state one or two games as a totallity of getting sacks and you question my football knowledge? Give me a break. You would be highly surprised at what I do. It doesn't change the fact that we get sacks at a league leading rate. You can bark all your nonsense but it doesn't change the facts.

So by your logic we should suck next yr right? Cause facts show with the absence of 26 on our roster we missed the playoffs. Facts show the game antonio brown missed this past season our offensive production was far lower than what it was with him on the field.
