I said the same thing last game.I really didn't see anything different.I'm waiting for the regular season to see anything new though. But on the other hand, don't you all think that we should put in one new play so that we can see how it works against a different defense then ours before the season starts?
No blitz= no pressure...this is becoming a real problem which call for troy to come up and support run.

    1. Too bad about Decastro, but, look we one the 2008 Superbowl with a below average line, last year we made the playoffs with a below average line, we will manage, hopefully Decastro can learn a little from watching, he will be back someday.

2.I think Derrick Williams may have pushed Gilreath out from the 5th spot, Gilreath needs a strong showing in the 5th game.

    3. Crezdon Butler is looking impressive. I like his size and ability, I think Lewis gets the starting job, but he may be on a short leash.

4.Robert Golden may have earned himself a roster spot.

5.Ziggy Hood looked really good, I'm eating some crow, because last week I said Heyward needs to start over Hood.

6.Redman, Dwyer, and Rainey will be the running backs, with Mendy not starting the season on the PUP, this may land Batch on the PS.

7.Leftwich made a lot of people on this board eat crow, what a throw down the middle that was. I think Ben, Leftwich, and Charlie are the QB's. Johnson to the practice squad.

8.Glad to see Ben get a little mad for once. That was once heck of a drive down the field to end the half.

:lolol: He must mean Cortez Allen. Mid-round pick, starts with a C, has a Z in it...

Sorry guys I did mean Crezdon Butler not Cortez Allen. Sometimes it just seems that these years run together.

I don't know if that was on purpose or not, but it's funny either way.

I forgot to add an observation from being at The Ralph last Saturday night for the preseason game against the Bills.

Steelers jerseys I saw in attendance: Mike Tomczak, Kordell Stewart, Tommy Maddox, Erric Pegram. No joke. Craziest sh*t I've seen in a long time. Then again, if you've ever been to Buffalo, you think you're in a post-apocalyptic nightmare. It is a wasteland. I don't think there has been a shopping mall there since probably the mid-nineties so, yeah, I think most of the jerseys fans of both teams were wearing that night were the old mesh things made by Starter.

first and foremost, i wish dave decastro a speedy recovery.......... i believe he will be back next season stronger than ever
antonio brown is worth every penny the f.o. gave him.
todd haley may have to change a few running plays, since foster doesn't pull anywhere near as well as decastro
love the defensive pressur............ the bills qb's were under duress almost every time they dropped back
run defense needs to tighten up, but the bills do have a very good roster at the rb position.
love what ben did in the no huddle
seemed like the o-line started to gel after a pretty poor start.
despite the early pressure, mario williams was the only bill to record a sack (no embarrassment there)

Redman converted all his short yardage work....He ran very hard....He also is faster,,,,I know this kid and the pass play and the 14 yard gain that was called back showed me he is indeed faster.....

On the GL he took solid contact at the 4 and still ran through 2 guys to score the ball.....Coach T was pumped on the sideline,,That's Steeler Football that's the way we do it.....

He never makes it in without the help of the push he got from Foster ( think it was foster)

    Just finished.

    1. Mike Adams looked great. He was facing backups, but he dominated them the way a starter should dominate backups, and he did it in pass protection too for a change. All preseasong long I've been pleasantly surprised with his run blocking. Whenever he cracks the lineup, we should improve there.

    2. I like Sean Spence a lot. He whiffed on the Bills' TD, but I love what I see from him. I can't wait to see what he's like 2 years from now.

    3. I'll be surprised if Alameda Ta'amu offers us a damn thing this year. He has the size and strength, and even pretty good speed. But he just... kinda sucks right now. They talked about having to break him down before building him up. I'm pretty sure they are still in breaking down mode. Unless there's another injury to Hampton or McLendon, I can't really imagine him seeing any time at all in significant circumstances. I think it's possible he'll be the Lawrence Timmons of the NT position. Lots of physical ability, new position, redshirt season, then gradually worked in over time.

    4. Anyone else breathing a sigh of relief that Starks looks good? And by "good" I mean: a capable, moving, breathing, living left tackle that is on our roster.

    5. Rough day for Colon and Foster. That was not encouraging. But I believe they have shown enough to give us hope that the Bills game will be more the exception than the rule, especially for Colon.

    6. You guys weren't kidding, Cortez Allen really did have a good game. I've seen enough. Start him.

    7. Curtis Brown is definitely more of a project than I anticipated. I still like him a lot. He's got way more natural ability than Lewis, Gay, or McFadden. He flashes and then faceplants. Hopefully he just needs some more experience.

    8. I love Chris Carter's motor. And his first step off the ball is great. He's still too weak to do us much good, but at least he's strong enough to function somewhat now.

    9. Glad Leftwich was able to shut some people up. I been sayin' it since he got here, no one we've had in my lifetime throws a better deep ball than him. I have no idea where the hate for him comes from, but there should be less of it now. I'm not saying I want to play him over Ben, but I will say that if Ben could throw it deep as well as Byron could, Wallace would have had 25 touchdowns last year.

    10. The pass rush from the defense wasn't fantastic, but it was better. It supplies hope. There were only two sacks I think, but there were some good hurries and a lot of plays where the pocket was just collapsing around the QB.
