Extremely disappointed in our GM for letting him go for such a crappy deal. We came off as so desperate and let him run the show. Should have just waited and if we did not get anything good then let him not show up to camp. A 3rd and 5th is horrible, we should be firing people for letting that happen

The worst thing for me now is that Colbert and Rooney still think there was nothing wrong with the Steelers soap opera.

A 3rd and 5th round draft pick and 21 million dollar cap hit?

    We are doomed.

Steelers are on a downhill trajectory. I've been trying to warn everyone here. Nobody listens to me.

Patriots would have gotten 2 first round picks for Edelman from Raiders.

...and Edelman sucks compared to AB...stat wise

A lot of great Steelers didn't win SBs. Guess they weren't any good either

They don't need to replace 15 tds on the field to win games. Losing this locker room cancer will be a blessing in disguise.

You obviously don't know anything about me. You claimed AB and LB never won a SB. Was that a knock on them? Because like I stated there have been plenty of other great players that haven't either. Fact. So I don't understand your point.

Steelers have a long-standing history of not overpaying. But never have we had players refuse to play for our team because of the circus that is our organization

As soon as it came out he wanted a new deal from whatever team he went to I immediately thought the best they would get is a 3rd round pick. Why would any team give them more when they have to turn around and hand out more money?

I’m glad he’s gone. Don’t really care what they got for him. The cap hit doesn’t matter because they were either paying him or taking the hit. In the end it doesn’t matter.

You don't have to replace 15 TDs you have to replace his impact on the field. That shouldn't be underestimated. If you do it would be silly.

Here is my personal final post regarding all of this. For one, I am not happy overall with what Pittsburgh received as compensation. I do not believe many, if any of us, are currently. That being said, here is a Tweet from Dave Bryan of SteelersDepot.

For those of you that have known me since April of 2016, I am, by no means, his biggest fan... at all. That being said, what he posted on the 19th of February does add some context with what has transpired. The tweet itself is below:

Time for all of us to move on. What is done is done. For that matter, there is not much time as April 25th rapidly approaches. Let us instead focus on what the team should do moving forward as opposed to what the team has done.

    Go Steelers!! :herewego:

"stat wise" was not the reason they got only a 3rd and 5th for AB, The other stuff is. If not for that AB wouldn't have been available for trade regardless of the price.

I had an old boss, who said every has +'s and -'s. When the -'s exceeds the +'s, the worker has to go, no matter how big the +'s are.

All dependent on how easy you make it for yourself my friend. If you make something hard for yourself, it will be hard. If you make it easy for yourself, it will be.
