Saving face is irrelevant. If they can't get at least a one or an impact player, they need to keep Brown. Anything else is just stupid.

    Yep. If we come away
I agree with this. If we don't get fair compensation, inform AB that he will be on the team next year and that if he refuses to play he'll be in breech of contract. The organization should make it clear that they'll take him to court and/or be willing to end what remains of his career. I'd respect this more than copping out in a trade, and it would send a powerful message to future players about honoring their responsibilities.

    Great article.

Brown has a commitment that's beyond many others. This comes from multiple people even those that speak things that would be perceived to be against him.

He's just off his rocker. He's a great player, but not a great teammate when you break it down ultimately.

But TEAMS win championships not individuals. The Patriots show this again and again.

    So time to move on.

I do not fault Tomlin for working to try and appease Brown with the production he's put up. I can see behind the lines a bit. The problem is eventually the water boiled over, and that's what we see now.

I do not believe this will be a recurrent problem with Tomlin.

I continue to support Rooney's support for him and his growth as a coach. I like that about the ownership make or break.

How do you define Tomlin's growth as a coach?
    I see regression.

Glad to see him go to a mediocre team that's not in our division. If he succeeds there then he really is one of the greatest WRs ever.

AB said in his interview about Ben “Don’t tell me I’m your guy and don’t throw to me in the 1st quarter,...”.

Doesn’t he realize he was double teamed and got shut down a few times!

This relationship has been fractured and he claims he is the victim. It is sad he cannot be honest with himself to own some of this fractured relationship.

I wonder if AB will have an oh sh*t moment and reconsider?

Can’t get much worse than Bills.

    Me and you both!

That being said, I wonder then if Sean McDermott sees more value in acquiring Brown than going after any of this seasons top receivers. The timing of this is also intriguing as well.

Given D.K. Metcalf's performance, I assume he was their primary target?! It could still happen of course but nothing is guaranteed at this point. Too early too fully tell what the Bills plans are but at the very least, acquiring someone like AB will give Josh Allen a much needed target for certain.

It's no surprise to see Brown balking at a destination that isn't going to help him. The Bills showed some promise with Josh Allen, but accuracy is his weakest point. Those throws Roethlisberger made so often to give Brown opportunities to make a great play? They aren't going to be in the right spot nearly as often in Buffalo.

It's been 11 years and little growth. What makes you think Tomlin's gonna magically change now?

Seriously, Steelers fans and Tomlin fans are delusional. I have watched every Steelers game he has coached. Every, single, one. The last 7 years have been as underachieving a performance as you can have when your team had arguably a top 3 QB, best rb and best receiver on the team.

The guy recently upped the ante on how bad of a manager he was with how he handled the players away from the field. Tomlin is not a good head coach. He just isn't. The results are right there if you pay attention.
