Does it add value to the dicsussion? On its face, I say no. And it was a piece written to further illuminate the Steelers dysfunction. What Ward is quoted saying could be ANY former player commenting on ANY franchise QB. Heck, for that matter, it could be ANY former employee of ANY company commenting on the leadership of said former company. This adds no value.

The links you asked for in the ab post is in my OP on this thread. He also criticized Ben AGAIN the other day after Kevin Colbert said what he said.

So because Hines Ward criticized Ben, that makes him a bad leader and a crappy teammate? Someone being critical of a person's leadership doesnt necessarily make them a bad leader. Not trying to get political here but both Obama and Trump have a camp who think he is the best leader to ever walk the face of the earth while another camp believes he is the antichrist. So which is it?

Apples to oranges. Obama and trump both directly compete with different political parties, respectively, that are both diametrically opposed to each other. Of course you have those critical of their leadership just on the simple fact that their views dont align. Hines is not the only one. I just told you sanders, AB, and literally every former player who's an analyst on TV all acknowledge ben is not a leader as he continues to PUBLICLY do things leaders don't do. Guys like sharpe even go as far as to say they've NEVER seen QBs do some of the things ben do. So stop acting like its ONE PERSON who said this about Ben. Then the gm came out and further ENFORCED the reason why ben acts the way he does because they enable him to think hes above reproach.

What Ben is doing is perfectly fine. The Owners like the way he leads the team so that’s all that matters.

The Steelers ownership likes it. Cant speak for other teams. But let's so how the team ends up with it continuing to go that way.

And actually it's been that way since we lost to GB. How has that been working out for us?

He’s in class until 1:00. He’ll get back to you then. I stuck a cyber tracker on him to make sure he doesn’t skip class.

Did I miss something.... Hines Ward is now a paid analyst for a media network, right? His opinions now are no more relevant than Jerome Bettis, Bill Cowher or any other far removed former player paid media personality. It's fun and games trying to draw viewers and cause a ruckus, nothing more.

It is not apples and oranges because it highlights the point that different people appreciate different leadership styles and approaches. Your opinion and perspective is based on your personal preference and experience as is mine. Regardless of your, Ward's, or anyone else's criticism of BR's leadership, I can think of 23.2 million reasons why that opinion doesnt mean diddly squat.

Issue isnt Ben. Ben has taken the team to 3 super bowls. He has earned his keep. Receivers and running backs are a dime a dozen. The issue right now is a coach who cant prepare his team for 16 games and playoffs. From 2012 to 2018, the Steelers have lost too many games to inferior teams that cost them bye weeks, playoffs and Super Bowl berths. Because the team is not coached well. The Steelers are going to have to make a decision next year or Ben's last few years will be a waste.

It is because a presidential candidacy does not correlate with football. Another team does not have to make it their effort to critique the steelers in order for them to be successful against the steelers. It is on both political parties to point out flaws in the other in order to try to win because their sole success of winning the based on the peoples opinion. Football is not. Again apples to oranges.

Maybe, I dunno, but I know I've seen him on the sidelines of a couple college football games holding a microphone standing in front of a camera, pretty sure it was last season..... but I could be wrong.

Ok thanks. Hadn’t seen him lately. Problem is I don’t watch CNN or ESPN. To many so called experts with their opinions. I’d rather just hear the facts reported.

I think back in the 70's 80's 90's before cell phones anything that happened close to the team was kept inside if one person leaked it, the writer would be vilified if he wrote a negative story about our Steelers.

Now if you say something and hurt someones feelings they can blast it out to the world in seconds, wasn't it Brown who was broadcasting Tomlins locker room rant.

Any crap now a days is instant news unless the team is disciplined enough to take the time to think before putting it out there for everyone to see.

At least Kraft gave us a few days without the constant Steeler drama.
