Has anyone mentioned Glen Edwards yet?

Realise I may be showing my “board age” with that question.

Kordell fan for sure. He arrived too early, he'd be a terror today.

Didn't help that he had a new OC just about every season either. Plus trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. He was still better than he gets credit for though. I remember one play he made and they cut to the bench and players mouthing "wow".

Would have loved to see him play today.

Someone else mentioned Hodge, another good choice. One of my favorite Steelers.

The Steeler "tone" is always the same. It's about the past, the curtain, the plays, the players, the stats the wins, the coaching along with the Superbowls.. how sweet was.

Pittsburgh Trvia is awesome along with exciting, it's even good for the Testosterone...

But the fire, the hope, the dreams of a Steeler has become like unto a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.

    Rooney.. my condolences!

Well said! Be careful using big words and several of them; a mouth-breather may accuse you of self promotion:smiley1:

That may well be for some, but not sure it can really be applied to most of this thread.

Calling to mind the likes of Merriweather and Hoge is hardly going back to the glory years, after all.

Brendan Stai always has a fan here. Our own piece of the Nebraska machine from the 90’s mashing it up in the run game (he was a OG).

I remember Charles Johnson doing some good things at WR. My memory may be foggy here, but I think he also unfairly suffered from our forced “let’s turn Kordell into a pocket passer” experiment.

He was a pimp when he was playing in the Burgh. Very good pickup in the first round when they got him and was a key player in the defense.

My favorite thing about Kordell was his toughness. Kordell used to get lit up on a regular basis. He would just pop up, and head back to the huddle every time. The guy was rarely injured, and if he was, he would play through it if he could.
