Is there anything else with this deep thought or are you just saying no to everything posted?

The same guy who's been calling it the last couple seasons, just like it's been reported several times.
The only positive change I see in this scenario is Porter being gone, and hopefully he took his 'who ride' chant with him.

It isn't happening is what I was trying to say. Not saying no as in I dont think it should happen. Saying no as in they wont make a change.

Yes many times....I don't know why some people seem to be in denial about this. Tomlin has had a much bigger hand in gameplanning, scheme and playcalling. No more scapegoats. It's sink or swim for the former DC/DB coach.

Not if Art II gives him an extension which I would point to what Diamond stated. We will see if Art II has any stones to make Tomlin turn it around before any extension is mentioned or handed out.

Butler won't be as sharp without riding Coach LeBeau's shirttail. Butler needs to go period!! Shifting is not retooling!

Art said after the season that Butler called the defense last season.

They could have just hired Rob Ryan, but Washington got him.

I think he was under contract and the Jets didn't release him but I didn't look that up. I know some coaches stay sometimes while others are all fired.

Because they haven't had the best of luck with former Steelers turned coaches maybe? Let's be honest that's probably the main reason you want them to hire him I'm guessing.

Main reason people want to hire him is because he is good at what he does.

It’s thought by some that he rubbed the Steelers the wrong way when he publicly auditioned for the LB job while Porter was still there.

Great player, great motivator, hofer, and great coach. Way better then what we have ... including butler. It vexed my soul ... seeing him coaching the packers lbers against us in the superbowl

I doubt Green is a better LB coach than Butler.

Negative ghost rider I wanted him cause he is one heck of a coach.....you know one we want not ones we have, lol. I have posted this in the past this is a major reason why I wanted him:

Prior to joining the Jets, Greene spent five seasons with the Packers as their outside linebackers coach. In those five seasons, Green Bay produced 203.0 sacks, the fourth most in the league, while linebacker Clay Matthews produced 50.0 total sacks, the third most of any player and the most among any outside linebackers. Additionally, nine different outside linebackers produced multi-sack seasons for the Packers under Greene, including five rookies.

You must don't use visine. Your vision is cloudy. Just because, butler, is better suited as a lber coach then defensive coordinator. Doesn't make him the best/better lber coach. And speaking of lber coaches ... why are they keeping olsavsky? Inside lbers were horrible

I follow. I would definitely be in favor of his hiring but ownership doesn't want to rock the boat with outside changes. That boat being the Titanic.

Yeah, I winced when I read it at the time. I think probably everyone felt Porter was going to get fired over the bar thing but he still should have waited.

You don't have a clue if you think Green is a better LB coach than Butler . Green gets credit for Clay Matthews, but other than that I'm not that impressed. Butler coached some good LBs with the Steelers, with more guys being Pro Bowl players.

I get what your saying but how much of that was Lebeau? Not taking anything away from Butler but Lebeau was a defensive genius. I think Greene is a heck of a coach:

Under Greene's tutelage in a 34 odd-man front, he demands three things from the OLB position...be physical at POA in run support, bring the heat like a raging bull DE and drop back in zone coverage like a SS. Be physical, be tough, play smart. #Steelers #TerribleTowels
