    Nasir Adderly
Holy cow, this guy is just what the Steelers need, a playmaker in the secondary. I know he played at a lower level, but damn he's good.

Duh, he's a playmaker. Davis is going into the last year of his contract. And some scouts said he might be able to play some CB.

We need someone that can immediately play. Getting someone you’re pegging to replace Davis next year isn’t the option. Not to mention Davis hasn’t been bad. I’d fully expect him to get another deal

i agree davis has played pretty well and i fully expect him back. this kid can play corner opposite haden or the nickle and dime spots. call him whatever you want safety or corner but he's an upgrade on the field. we need play makers back there.

I’ll be hoping for Byron Murphy to be the playmaker

Easy to find a spot for him. Move Edmunds to dime backer to replace Burnett. Bring Davis back down in the box. He did well to limit big plays but IMO he is still not a playmaker back there. Let Adderly play FS with the versatility to line up almost anywhere. Peasy

Agree on Brian Burns to an extent. Only major reason I do not have him in my options is due to the Combine weigh in. That is going to be critical for him. If he can get, at worst, 245lbs. and retain his athletic abilities, he is likely going to be the ultimate BPA pick. I am assuming though that Byron Murphy and Jachai Polite both blow up the combine.

That being said, Brian does fit the mold of a "Tomlin T" player. Add the fact he was super productive and can bend the edge, he just might be the partner in crime that TJ Watt has been starving for.

Davis is better suited to play Dime 'Backer at this point. Terrell is better off left alone at the Strong Safety position. Cannot afford to play "musical chairs" the way that Davis' firsr three years have been.

That being said, should Nasir Adderly be the choice, that will bust a lot of Steelers historic trends draft wise.

If I'm not mistaken Davis has never played dime backer. Yet he was our SS for a couple years so it really would be more comfortable for him. IMO. I also think Edmunds can and should be able to add more bulk than SD. Edmunds is super lean and could probably add 15lbs without losing too much speed. Davis is also better in coverage than Edmunds and the SS will be tasked with more coverage on WRs and TEs. As the season wore on Edmunds looked more explosive around the LOS. Either way I think they both offer the versatility needed.

Hmm... fair enough. I do like the addition of Adderley regardless. The issue is the continual chorus within the secondary.

I still believe that Terrell needs to learn one thing at a time and expand from there. Anything more added is likely to impede his development. Besides, I do not think it would be wise for any team to draft a safety simply to play the dime 'backer as there will be instances where said position will be exposed by another team.

I’ll need to dig up more tape on him. The highlights are great.

With a playmaker like Adderley you find a way to get him on the field, they play in their dime defense a lot anyways.

Burns is kind of skinny, that would worry me.

All the more reason his weigh in is critical. If he is below 245lbs., forget it. If he is greater than 245lbs., he is worth some consideration. His tape and ability both are not only latent but showcase immense potential with the talent to match.

You will not be disappointed when you do. Nasir is great. Closet thing to a Malik Hooker in the draft.

Oh do cbs need to be 220? Plenty of cbs that are 170-180. Yeah look at the tape. He plays bigger and more physical than his size. Guys a bull dog. Give me a fierce playmaking ball hawk. Rather than your “proto weight cb” anyday

So you want Edmunds to be 245 pounds? Lmao. Naw he’s 220 and perfectly fine. He looks “lean” because he’s in tremendous shape. I’ll keep Edmunds right where he is

Both came into the league at 245 or slightly better (246 being Miller's case) the same. Both did well in their rookie seasons. For that matter, both were talented as well. Weight is not everything when getting after the quartetback. Technique and athletic abilities also factor in.

Again though, should he weigh greater than 245lbs and be just as athletic if not more than, he is going to be worth considering.
