Second League is forming

    I have started a second league for those who cannot do Labor Day for a draft (or maybe missed a slot in the first league). The tentative draft date for that league is Sunday, August 26th at 6 pm. That date and time can be changed if needed. If people are cool with it, it stays.

    The settings for that league will be identical to the first league. I do not intend to stay in the second league. I'll drop as soon as I place a commish in charge of it. That is, unless it fails to fill up with new players. If it does, I'll allow some guys in the first league to also join the second if they wish (and I may stay in it). Based on initial response a few weeks ago, this shouldn't be an issue, but I'm just covering my bases.

    I have a slot or 2 still available for the first league (labor day league). As always, please PM me with an invite request. But now, also state your preference for which league. Once the Labor Day league fills, you'll have to join the second league. For those in the first league who are interested in joining the second league ALSO (assuming we need to fill it), PM me as well, but state that you're already in the first league. I'll hold those requests in reserve.

    Bump for attention.

    The second league needs more players. If you were on the fence, please do request an invite.

    I will accept requests from players already in the first league, but as I said, I'll give first grabs to new players. So if you're already in the first league, please state as much in your request. I'll hold onto it until it becomes clear we need to fill up fast.

    Also, I have one spot open in the first league. First come, first serve.

    I joined the second one after all. Supposed to be going out of town, but have changed my plans slightly to allow me to complete the draft. I really hope this doesn't turn into a league where people abandon their team halfway through the season, because I'm making a huge sacrifice to make this draft. Hopefully everyone stays until the end.

    I can relate as well. And I also agree with Shaner. Hopefully everyone stays in for the long haul. I could have the worst team in the league. I still play for pride.

    Another announcement:

    The second league has a new commissioner. MThomas184 (aka Blitzburgh in the league) is your new commish.

    I'll be out of town starting Monday. Any requests to join the second league, or any questions about that league should be PMed to him. I've instructed him to accept even players already in the first league starting Wednesday. We need to fill it up before draft day.

    Just a thought here D.....If you cant get 12 you can always knock #2 down to a 8 or 10 team league.Just my 2 cents.

    Understood.....If you need a 12th and if you can push the draft back 1 hr (assuming its still scheduled for 8/26 @ 6PM est to 7) I will take the spot. Let me know.

    I'm starting to think this league is as good as dead. If in a few days it doesn't start to fill up, I'm going to change my plans back for that day and will therefore have to quit this league.

    I really wish we could have had an evening draft in the first league.

    Can you remove me from this league. My team is Steeltown. Doesn't look like its going to fill up so I'm going to change my plans back in Sunday night. I had to make a pretty big sacrifice to make this draft, but I don't see the league filling up in time.
