I was gonna post this but I know there's NO WAY IN THIS WHOLE WIDE WORLD that we could EVER be so lucky. But I will admit when I saw the headline on NFL.COM my heart fluttered as I thought about how awesome this would be. I love this guy! But we'd never pay him what he's asking so I was just gonna keep this to myself. I'm kinda glad you posted it though because I'd love to see peoples opinions on him.

Those are pretty much my thoughts. I know it's not going to happen, but it's fun to think about.

Yeah there's not a running back on our roster since the Bus that I wouldn't INSTANTLY trade for MJD! He runs like Earl Campbell! I guarantee you his agents phone is blowing up right now. He deserves SO MUCH MORE than Jacksonville. He's like a Barry Sanders type player that is too good for the team he's on.

New England will probably get him for something like a seventh-round draft pick this year, a fifth-round pick next year, and a Gatorade bucket (empty, of course).

I'd send Wallace down south and take MJD in a NEW YORK MINUTE! I figure the Pats will make an offer. I did read on an NFL.COM post that he's always been a Steelers fan so who knows? He still has 2yrs left on his contract and is owed 4.45mil this year and the next I believe. They said if a team takes him they have to give him a whole new contract. I'm not sure how that works but with such a proven commodity as him what team wouldn't offer him a contract? Besides the retard jags ofcourse!

Trade him for Wallace and a 4 th rounder and sign him for 5 mil for 4 yrs wit h a 5 th option.
That sounds to easy. I am going to get touched for this. ( big.shoulders) fire away.

I'd trade him for Wallace. I know that he aint gonna do it though. I'd just trade him for Wallace and then pay him what we were gonna wind up paying Wallace when we inevitably signed him anyway. Don't worry about taking a beating. I have your back on this one too. I really like the guy and I think Haley would REALLY love him. He's a Steelers kinda guy too. However we might be a little hypocritical for coming down so hard on Wallace and then loving MJD who's basically doing the same thing right?

I think we are set at RB for years to come, but theoretically....

MJD and a 4th for Wallace & Mendenhall

If we get MJD we will DEFINITELY be "set" for years. We KNOW what he can do. We THINK we know what Redman can do. I love Redman I'm just saying. I'd let Mendy go for MJD in a heartbeat. I'd love to see what we could do with him in the red zone. I know this is all fantasy so there's no need to argue with eachother but I'm just saying in my fantasy we would have MJD over any of the guys we have right now.

I wish. MOJO would make us a top 10 offense immediately. I think we could make a deal for something like Mendy (or Redman) plus a 3rd to get it done. The problem is paying him in the ballpark of what Ray Rice and Matt Forte just made.

No because if he runs over 1,000 yards on the 1st year of his 50 million dollar 3 year deal he would want more

I wanted him when he was in the NFL draft...I just had a gut feeling he'd be good. But a team would have to give up a ton for him probably...and he'd want too big of a contract and all that junk most have said already....

I'll bet if we offered 3 mill, a house, a car, a horse, two buckets of fried chicken, a yo-yo, a ball of lint, a gum drop and a paper clip we could get the deal done by our next preseason game.

Trade Wallace & Mendy for him straight up. Give him the money we have reserved for Wallace and then sign Plex on the cheap. Voila! :good:

Wait....isn't MJD basically doing what Wallace is doing by holding out? Either the guys posting that they want MJD have no issues with Wallaces holdout or they are being a bit hypocritical.

I'LL KEEP wallace over getting drew .. easier to find a good RB than a good receiver... to add wallace to the group of receivers we have means more to the steelers than adding MJD to the RB group... wallace opens up the short pass A LOT

Unless you can play like Sweetness, the Steelers aren't EVER going to break the bank
on a RB. Especially with #7 on the team. And you think Mike Wallace wants some coin, Wait
till they start negotiations with #7 for his last big payday, another 100 mill.

LOL! Yep, I'd love to see Wallace have to endure Blaine Gabbert throwing him the football after having one of the best in the NFL in Ben throwing to him. It'd be the same scenario as Holmes all of a sudden having to downgrade to Sanchez.
