Because no team is dumb enough to do that for a diva WR.

I read Murphy was 5'11 170, that doesn't sound muscular to me.

Yeah sounds pretty slight of frame, but his photos just scream athleticism to me, much like a Randy Moss-type build. Randy didn’t have much mass, but he was rock solid.

Murphy is going to have to put a little meat on them bones to take on
a 235 lb RB that can run a 4.5 forty. Also large WR's the JU JU size.

Also watch him play all those numbers go out the window. This kid can play no matter his numbers......

This article reiterates some of my feelings towards the safety position . There has to be a concern with the depth or maybe even a potential upgrade at the FS spot. Adderly from Delaware was a guy I was going to mention. He looks pretty good so far. While I don't believe Safety is a first round option. I think it has to be a concern . I know I'm always harping on Brian Allen getting a opportunity to try his hand at FS. They have him listed as a CB but they seem to have no intentions of using him there. Give him a shot in camp at FS. They should have started that transition a year ago and maybe it would have been one less hole to fill.
There is no one behind Davis at FS

Malik golden. Dangerfield. Both back. I'd like to see the kid from miami. Johnson. I do agree about allen and I want that kid on the field this year.

Dangerfield for sure isn't a FS. Golden I'm not really sure. He also seems to have a injury history where I don't think he should be counted on. I know both you and I see something in Allen or at least his potential but I certainly don't have my hopes up. He seem to be pigeonholed at CB for some strange reason but even with all the issues at the position,he doesn't even see the field.

I agree, I never got the Dangerfield at fs thing. Golden I like but the speed is a concern.

They need a definite upgrade to the depth at FS. I don't have the same faith as you with Brian Allen making a transition. They are woefully thin at FS. I doubt its a first round target since they went so heavy with the position last year.

Our 2 best CBs are Hilton and Haden (5'9 185 and 5'11 195 respectively.) And Haden being listed at 5'11 seems favourable.

Murphy at 5'10 180 and Baker at 5'11 185 are fine.

Enough chasing the 6'1 200 cbs who run 4.4. More Hiltons and less Artie Burns.

If we lose AB. Irv Smith jr. TE. Bama. We will need some offensive help. Hear me out. He can run block and so can mcdonald. Both are threats in the passing game that will help juju, Washington and eli. It will help Conner and samuels.

Hold ON SCNB, I am not sticking up for Artie Burns, he had his chances and blew it.
I am all for football players that love the game and what it entails (physicality). My only
question is , are these small players capable of playing a full 16 game schedule
for years of the rigors of the NFL? You are no good to the PGH Steelers if you can't stay on the field. Hence Shaziers younger years until
he he added extra weight and muscle to his frame.

I know what you saying but Hilton has only missed 1 game in 2 years. He's out best blitzing DB. He's one of the better ball hawks on defense. Makes plays in the backfield. Is a pretty sure tackler.

I see alot of smaller CBs coming into the league having success while watching way too many 6'1 200 4.4 guys washing out because they can't cover the smaller, speedier CBs.

Steelers have traditionally liked taller, longer corners. Well we only ever had success with Ike Taylor. 1 hit in what 18 years? Way too many busts in that time.

To me the goal here should be to make Hilton the #4 CB. Haden #1, Draftee or Signee #2, Sutton #3, and Hilton #4. Burns is depth and fights for any role whatsoever.

I think it is more who is evaluating these cb's and safety's

The issue is not the size of the CB's. The issue is if said corners can play in the scheme. That much befalls on the Scouting Department. They have to improve in that area.

Within that same vein, Keith Butler needs to put players in the position to win. Consistently playing against your players strengths increases their chances of failure. That is not coaching. That is being stubborn.

Some of those NFL scouts on Twitter love Adderly, they have been talking him up a lot.

Or just draft Murphy and get a corner who can play in any scheme. I watched a handful of his games over the past couple of days. Damn can he defend the pass. He’s going to be as good as, or better than, Haden at his peak. He isn’t so hot at run support, but that’s a nit pick weakness for a corner.

Yep. Look at my sig. my man! Love him. That dude is a stud. His age should also act as an addes bonus the same.

I am now just awaiting the Combine. If he runs in the high 4.3s to low 4.4s, we would have to trade up to get him. If not, he is likely gone before pick 15.
