The QB of a team is usually looked upon as the Offensive leader on the team especially if that QB is a veteran. One however can be a good QB without having leadership qualities. Coupled with a jerk type personality will make it difficult for teammates to play for you in fact those teammates may not necessarily see themselves as on the same front line with you if you receive accolades without any reprimand from superiors further complications in the relationship may occur if the QB continuously ridicules, blames, or negates taking responsibility for his own actions and or faults.

This happens in the business world, marriages and yes on the field.

Did you ever work with a co worker who dogged it or threw you under a bus. Did you really want to continue to work with that person?

    100% Exactly how I feel

I used to defend Ben to the haters, but as time has gone on I’ve realized that he truly is a prick. Now, do I really give a $***?? Nope, just win games....all I’m worried about.

I definitely wish he was a good leader, but it’s evident that he’s not. Sanders comments sounded like sour grapes when he said that about Ben, but it has become evident that his comments were quite valid

I hope you all are watching the clinic that Brady and the Pats are putting on without having an all world WR on the roster.

This is why you take a franchise QB over ANY WR 8 days a week, and why you cater to them and put up with their **** and not your diva HOF WR.

The Patriots as a Team is kicking azz. The Chargers are ****ting the bed and appears to have been playing over their heads in recent weeks. Patriot WRs have been wide open all day. Besides, the Patriots Defense have been playing very well, so don't give all the credit to the QB. Stop it.

Of course he isn’t. Ben is still a top franchise QB though.
Larger point being that this is why you always go with the franchise QB over the HOF WR.

Which is why the Steelers moving forward will be fine. AB is an exceptional talent but his production is replaceable, not as easily as L Bell but via multiple receivers

I said it a couple of weeks ago - the playoff Pats aren't the same as the regular season Pats. Exhibit A.

They're probably just cheating again. :)

As for Sanders, I take anything a member of "Young Money" says with appropriate skepticism. With that said, I think Ben could handle his public business a little better. While I think some players (like Bell) deserve to be called out publicly, not all players do and that criticism should be handled privately. It might also go over better if he wasn't one of the bigger problems we had this year. Maybe work on his own stuff before critiquing anyone else.

Sanders has a axe to grind with Ben, when he got to Denver he said Peyton Manning was the best QB he ever played with or something like that.

Ben just needs to put a cork on it, what he is saying technically might not be wrong, just wrong place, wrong time.

Yeah cus the steelers will never find another QB ever!! lol

Having a few bad seasons could be a good thing,, get better draft picks....picking near the bottom has caught up to this team...they can't sign any big names cus of the cap , so they need better quality picks

He said he was a better leader but I seem to recall Peyton throwing his entire offensive line under the bus after losing to us in the playoffs. Hmm.

Well you were about 6, might not remember it :lolol:

2005 season when they lost the playoff game, he completely called out his entire line saying things like there were protection problems. Steelers harassed him all game and he was pissed about it.
