I wish Munchak well. If I were him I would want out as well. All this has to be frustrating for him.

If this was a company and a few disgruntled employees quit or move on no one notices but when your foremen and managers start to jump ship someone has to notice how bad things are.

Expect a standard statement " Coach Munchak has decided to relocate to Denver for family reasons bla bla bla we didn't see it coming bla bla bla we don't know what we are doing bla bla bla why are my feet wet are we sinking bla bla bla.

If the Broncos want him as OL coach, can the Steelers block him for making a lateral move?

The two most likely reasons for him leaving would be...
He’s sick of the BS or financial. Would it be too much to ask of the Rooney’s to give our best coach by far a promotion to AHC and a raise.

In the words of Derrick Coleman....
    The ship be sinkin’

I would hate to lose him but if we do, this isn't the worst scenario. He won't be a HC so he will still be a prime candidate should the Steelers let Tomlin go after next season.

Why wouldn't the Steelers make the move now? That doesn't make sense to me.

Whose to say he wants to stay here or would come back next year given the opportunity? We just don't know what his motivations are.

What do we know about anyones motivations. I seriously doubt he turns down a chance to be a HC if the Steelers were interested.

    Uneffinreal......................

Part of the Broncos' plan on offense is to add Steelers assistant Mike Munchak, whose contract is up. The decorated offensive line coach was one of two finalists for the Broncos' head coaching post. After being beat out by Fangio, Munchak intended to return to Pittsburgh.

But Rapoport reported the Broncos have since notified the Steelers of their intention to speak with Munchak about working for Fangio in an elevated role.

The Broncos wanted to interview 49ers quarterbacks coach Rich Scangarello for their OC vacancy but were denied by San Francisco, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported. Scangarello has generated a buzz in recent weeks for his work with second-year QB Nick Mullens, who impressed upon being promoted from third string.
