How many more wins? 1 would of done it. The last thing we basically heard from Bell and his agent was that he would of come back if the team promised not to tag him again next year. I believe it was the transition tag but I don't claim to be a expert on tags. IMO we should have just gave them that reassurance because there's no way we are going to go through that drama again. We could of made that deal and tried to get everything out of Bell that he had left and we probably would be preparing for a playoff game right now. That is just one of a plethora of reasons why we're not. Starting with the participation or lack thereof of our starters during the pre season. That's a whole new can of worms.....

People make jokes, but probably 1 or 2; I'd guess we make the playoffs at least. Still, I'm quite happy with Conner moving forward. :)

I mean the coach never turns the ball over at all during the season... he’s not a player. However his decisions directly impact the game. Why was Ridley in instead of Samuels? Why Ridley over other backup RB’s? Why do we lose to so many bad teams over the years? These aren’t just player issues. The coach is responsible for these things. Ultimately he’s responsible for the team’s success and failures to some degree.

I heard on the radio Samuels tapped out, that's why Ridley was in. Ridley is more of a straight ahead runner than Samuels also, probably another reason he was in the game.

We would of won more games if Boswell played like he did the year before. We would not have won more games then if Bell played for us like he did the year before.

A run should have never been the play called, period. Regardless if Samuels or Ridley were tired, ready to go... whatever. Ben was unstoppable at that point, why take the ball out of the hands of your best shot to make that 1st down?

Everyone who says bell wouldn't have made a difference is fooling themselves. I understand the hatred for him but if you asked this question to non Steeler fans you would be more likely to get a honest answer. I also like Conner but he will never be as good as Bell

Sidestepping the “who’s better” debate, I think it’s safe to say Bell is more versatile. He can be lined up in a greater variety of places than Conner, he’s a threat from anywhere, and opposing defenses have to account for him. That lets us influence the defense and create mismatches. No offense would turn down that ability.

Even if Ridley didn't get the first down, the plan was to go for it on 4th down Tomlin said, then Ben would throw it.

Yes and no. I would of had a lot more confidence in Samuels at least not fumbling but if the plan was to go for it on 4th then I agree Ben should of gotten two chances. The element of surprise of a play action was definitely better on 3 rd down and that's where they should of trusted Ben the most. The fact that they said they were gonna go for it again doesn't mean you forfeit your best chance on 3rd. At that point regardless of a second chance the ball needs to be in Ben's hands not a known fumblers.

More versatile than JC in his 2nd year... I think the kids route tree and move him around status is gonna grow exponentially but I prefer his running style personally over Bells... Less guess work and hitting the hole.

This is a hard question, as much as we all dislike Bell he is one heck of a talent. IMO I would like to think Bell is at least 1 win no?

When Ben retires absolutely there will be a drop-off in wins. When Brady goes, likewise. Belicheat is a good coach, but ........... where was he pre-Brady?
