The amount of money he got paid was around the same amount he spent on his rigorous training method for his age. Was almost like he wasnt really getting paid. He obviously did all that to play. I'm sure he would have at HIS AGE rather retire and sit at home then to basically be playing for next to nothing because that money just goes to his training. And his teammates in his scenario are irrelevant they arent paying his Bills nor will they be taking care of him down the line. He has the right to do what's best for himmself just like everyone else in any other profession would do the same.

A coach with more football knowledge than Tomlin seemed to find use for him last yr.. and of course now he is done. At his age that cliff comes quick. We saw how fast many great players declined with just in a a years time so right now has nothing to do with where he was at last yr.

Devils advocate : If they knew he couldn't drop into coverage why did they bring him back? Do you think JH re signs if they told him he would be nothing but a mentor? He would of laughed in their faces. They knew that isn't really him and they wouldn't of even broached the subject with him knowing that. So where does the truth lie? It lies in the fact that they promised him playing time and then decided they were gonna just hold him hostage for insurance instead. And you if you were a competitor at the highest level would you of just accepted that? No and if you say yes your lying. The truth is they promised him something they reneged on that promise and painted him into a corner. That's a fact whether you accept it or not. Remember that me first player had a pilgrimage out to AZ every year where he invited all the LBs to come out and train with him. Lead by example not words like many of our other so called loyal leaders.

No one expected JH to be able to be a full time starter. He didn't even expect that himself. The simple and easy thing to do was to give him 10-15 snaps a game. If you didn't want to use him early in the season and save him for later fine. No one can honestly say that there weren't games we couldn't have certainly used him. Oh I forgot how Dupree was taking the league by storm last year. He has only marginally improved this year and that's after doing all they could by switching sides and giving him more freedom to try and use his athleticism(Driskell out ran him last week, lol) of course Tomlin and Co managed to screw up even the simplest of plans. Somehow I'm not surprised.

I don’t get paid so probably not be on the team. If I was getting paid I’d sit back and drink beer and collect my check. I’d also be ready if needed.

Well you aren't that serious of a competitor then. You're just happy to be there. Like football analyst said he was spending just as much on his body as he was getting paid just to be able to play. So basically he was breaking even to ride the bench. Nobody with a competitive bone in their body is doing that.

I think trading him would be capitulating to his demands. My son has similar issues as AB, only he drinks juice from a box and thinks Cookie Monster is real (he just turned 4).

Someone here posted that if you take out the salary and bonus, the hit is only 6 million. If that’s the case, let’s talk trade. But I’ll plead ignorance here. When we talk cap/roster/salary/bonus, I get an ice cream headache and need to lie down.

James Harrison has been highly critical of Mike Tomlin

Most of us feel the same! I have to give him props for that, I agree!

Look he was shunned his last season here so Dud Dupree could play. They should have played him more as a pass rush specialist. Patty Cake Dud is so far from that it's simply a joke. That was another stupid decision by our cliché laden coach. So they dumped him and he was signed by the cheats. And made some PLAYS. Don't get me wrong I loved seeing him get green and white confetti rained down on him but really was more stoked that the cheats had just lost.

This guy was a beast, feared. Needed to be accounted for. One of the Steeler greats like it or not.

Because he went to NE and not on a tour of third world countries digging wells for drinking water with his bare hands and carrying broken down Red Cross vehicles with medical supplies for children in need on his back.. He's a football player. He wanted to play football. Some guys told him you can't play football here. He went to where they wanted him to......guess?.....wait for it........play football . He played football. The End.

Thanks. So when Tomlin’s plan for Harrison’s playing time changes isn’t that also just business?

It's all business. But dont be bias towards the franchise for doing what they feel is in their best interests but in turn criticize the player for doing the same when their careers and opportunities are far more limited than those of the organization. That's my whole point but most fans because they are loyalist to their particular franchise side with them usually at all costs.
