I could more easily have bought the argument that this team "could make noise", if they come out and taken their frustrations out at home vs a Cincy team manned by backups in a must win game. That they struggled with these guys told me all I needed to know. Read an article somewhere recently, that called the Steelers a "tease". To me that hit the spot.

I agree we were winning in NO and a dumb call help the Saints beat us......did I say we were winning in NO???? I don't get people we played 2 very good games vs the Pats and Saints and then play down to the Bungals like we always do and they think we don't have a chance. SMH

 

it seems like every time we had the grasp of victory someone hexed us and we fell apart. It's just hard to explain, really unlucky bounces this year.

That's the difference between Patriots and Steelers. Patriots beat the teams they are supposed to, much more often than not. Steelers went 0-2-1 in games where they should have won handily... Broncos, Raiders and Browns. That's the difference between 9-6-1 and 12-4. At 12-4, Steelers would have had #2 seed.

 

I think this was much more likely given the history since '14 season. Steelers annihilated Colts and Ravens in back to back weeks in 2014 only to lose to the Bucs and Jets.

 

Steelers should have been the #1 seed. Probably would have faced LA or Houston in divisional round.

 

Tell me something new this always happens.......however you said to blast had we beaten NO then yeah we had a chance.....well we were right there you kinds contradicted yourself.

The Steelers barely beat the Bengals? Well, without AB and the turmoil surrounding that situation I'm pretty sure they weren't that focus. But during there 6 game winning streak, I would put them up against anyone in the playoffs. They beat NE, went toe to toe with the Saints and almost came back against the Chiefs. Lets not forget they beat Carolina when they were hot.

But the Steelers against any of the current playoff teams...we have a good chance as anyone.
