Let's play like we can actually trade brown. A hershel Walker type deal with say the jets.

Let's say they would give us a 1st and 2nd lol

Can u imagine if we could get 4 players like this this year?

    Greedy Williams
    Devin white
    Raekwon Davis
    Hakeem butler

The Jets gave their second round pick to the Colts for the chance to move up and draft Darnold .

I have a 30yr old diva WR, whose best years are behind him, who cares about his numbers and not about whether you win or not. All I want is a 1st and 2nd rounder low in the draft!!! We got a deal??

Boy,and people think Tomlin and Colbert are idiots.

How about trading AB and our 2nd to the Bucs for their 1st rounder and OJ Howard. Pair Vance and Howard and have the best “12” personnel grouping in the league.

Then we can have Ben overlook TWO open guys underneath on 3rd and 4 so he can throw a deep incompletion to Washington.

I am all in, let's get creative and try something different. It can be done
as posts mentioned above. There are lots of teams that would be interested
in AB and have cap space to pay him. Let somebody else deal with this pain in the ass.
We get rid of these non team players for good. And get guys that want to be team players
    and win Superbowls.

AB, with the way he keeps in shape has many productive years left. Let's move this Prima Dona the faster
    the better.

I agree about being all in on the trade but it isn't about cap space for other teams it is about our cap space as AB's dead money almost makes him untradable, nobody is eating 21 mil!

That money counts towards the cap whether he’s here or not.

He counts 22 million toward the cap if he stays here, and 21 million if traded. Net savings of 1 million before accounting for a replacement of his roster spot. Not ideal to be sure, but it doesn’t make him untradable.

This. I’m not advocating trading him, but it’s certainly not out of the question.

If traded they still will be on the hook for the dead money although they can spread it out over some years I believe. Remember Marshmallow Woodleys deal. 8 mill dead for a few years after he was long gone.

    I don't believe a Walker stack of picks would be there. A 1st and a 3rd and a conditional 6th. Maybe.

Am I against shaking things up? Hell no. But he is an amazing player, a game changer sans the mental issues. He's not going anywhere.

The 9 mill that was paid to Shazier will also be off the books and if hopefully they rescind the 5th year option on Dud that's 18 right there. Add the 14.5 thanks to the rap giant and that's a lot to play with.

This upcoming year hopefully the Steeler Way makes a bit of a change and brings in some upper tier free agents, namely a corner or OLBer. Or both.

And yet you want to deal him. If he'll be so productive for your trade partner, why don't you think he'll be productive for you? The other GM might ask this question.

Trade Tomlin to the Jets for their 1st and 3rd this year. Trade Brown to the 49ers for 1st this year and 1st next year.

We’re on the hook for 21/22 million either way. We are committed to absorbing that cap hit one way or another. I don’t see how that makes him untradable?
Plus if he’s traded his new team is on the hook for around 15 million in a cap hit. Not unreasonable # for a guy with AB’s talent.

So your saying that our ownership will just eat 21 mil just to trade AB???? If you think that I can’t go back and forth with you on this cause I do not see our ownership doing that. Therefore imo that makes him untradable.
