Why I like the fake punt, why it didn't work

    Like one poster already stated: the man in motion on the punt pretty much tipped off the Saints to get aggressive just in case it's a fake punt.

    Yeah, pretty sure that running a low percentage play is playing to lose.

    Should have just lined up and go for it. Not that going for it on your side of the field would be any less stupid but at least give yourself a better chance of succeeding.

    And we have all seen Tomlin go for it in a similar situation where they didn't try for the short yardage gain but went for a long TD to Brown so why try something with so little chance of success

    Can a fake up the middle get you 3 yards? Sure! 6 yards? Doubt it.

    The side of the field, the score of the game, the distance we needed and the player we gave the ball to all left me speechless. Does anyone realize those were Nix's first ever rushing yards in his career? 4 attempts and 4 yards one td, nothing against rossy but wow!

    Fake punt? WE were winning! Wellanother bad move that was way to obviouse Fake coach,fake coach we lose another game we were winning. Pqqr excaqution? Whose job is it to get our players ready and who should know we did not have the personell we needed?
