All the ways possible the Steelers can get in.

    1. The obvious one the Steelers win and the Ravens lose. Steelers win the AFC North.

    2. The Steelers win and the Ravens tie the Browns. Both would be 9–6-1 and the Steelers would win the tiebreaker by having a better division record of 4-1-1 to the Ravens 2-3-1.

    3. The Steelers tie and the Ravens lose. 8-6-2 and 9-7 are the same winning percentage so the Steelers would once again would win the tiebreaker based on better overall division record.

    4. Finally the most unlikely scenario but still possible nonetheless the Steelers beat the Bengals and the Colts and Titans game ends in a tie. Steelers win the tiebreaker over the Colts with a better common opponents record.

So those are the 4 ways in the playoffs this weekend I believe for the Steelers. With all the overtime games so far this year especially by the Browns and ties that have almost happened I wouldn’t completely rule out a tie happening this weekend or coming close to happening in any of these possibilities that I listed above.

Cool. Seriously I'm so disgusted at the officiating the last game still I'm losing my ability to care at all anymore. If you knew me at all, you'd know I'm not one to harp on the officials pretty much ever. What I've been seeing recently is sickening.

If the Steelers get in, I'll be rooting for them.

If they don't, I have other things to work on

I dont care about all their scenarios to get in, they should have had this division locked up two weeks ago, they are looking around to get help because they sucked so bad they just want two teams to tie so they can get a wildcard so they can blow a playoff game on the road, just play taps for this pitiful team and be glad you dont have to watch them blow a game in the playoffs, who wants to watch these chokers anyway....

Our best chance and the one which is more plausible is we win against Cinci and Ravens lose. Browns are the not the browns of old. They are legitimate and next year they will be even stronger and likely give the Steelers a run for their money.

Take away a few bad calls against the Browns this year & they would have won the division. Let that sink in.

Or a few head smashing against the wall Picks by Ben
I hate the calls the refs made just as much as all of you but Damn if this team didn’t shoot itself in the foot at least as many times a bad call went against us
Let’s not forget the penalties we were handed in Oakland and did nothing with either
Refs and The Raiders just dared us to screw that game up and we did

I'm pretty sure in the Super Bowl era the Steelers have made the playoffs more then any other team. I would like to add to that record.

Yep they missed one that could of beat us in the opening week. They missed one that could of beat the Saints in NO. They also thought they had a game against the Raiders won, until they said the spot was wrong and then they lost in OT to the Raiders.

Browns are turning it around. Which you knew at some point they would. You can't have great choices for draft picks year in and out and not get some good players eventually.

They will be the pick by a lot of experts next year to turn the corner. Wouldn't surprise me if many pick them to win the AFC North.

I understand Diamonds attitude towards this team. By no means should it have come down to this Sunday, let alone rooting on the clowns.

They will win against the bungles and the crows will defeat the clowns easily. And we will witness a Mayfield meltdown. That's the way I see it.

If by some magic they get in of course I will cheer them on. If not, hopefully we will see wholesale changes in the off season.

Then you should find another team. If you're not rooting for the team, you're no longer a fan.

You dont always have to be like this to be a fan of a dysfunctional team, whose your dancing partner?

Have to admit Diamond, Its a pretty weird statement and position for a fan of the team which you obviously are.

We're all pretty upset with how they have played, most of us anyway but anything can happen if they get in. So yeah, they need help now and it's their fault but I'm still hoping they get in. The team is definitely capable of getting hot and going on a run. They beat NE and despite losing to the Saints, played a good game, wasn't one of those crap Raider performances.

I'm rooting for a Cleveland win and hoping Steelers take care of the Bengals. AFC is wide open, there is no dominant team in their way.

Been a fan since before Noll became head coach in the 50s, just dont need someone like scribe to tell me i'm not a fan, I have some equity that allows me to be critical when this team spends the whole season under performing and week in and week out finding ways to squander games they are supposed to win and now are down to a hope and a prayer to rise above their 8 seed perch, but Blast I appreciate your comments and of course i'm well aware of what they can do, and cant do if they get into the big dance, they proved that when they was the first team to ever win a superbowl as a 6 seed, does this team have that same grit to perform big in the playoffs, well the only way we can find out is if they get in, i'm certainly pulling for them to get in to find out just a bit apprehensive about them getting in.....

I'll assume that first sentence was a grammatical error because Chuck Noll wasn't coaching the team in the 1950s. He was playing for the Browns in the 1950s. He became the Steelers head coach in 1969. I assume you meant to write that you have been a fan since the 1950s, before Noll became the coach.

That you have been a fan for so long is not really relevant. I grew up a Pirates fan. I no longer consider myself one. I saw decades of putting the bottom line ahead of winning coming when they let Bonds and Drabek go for nothing and I was right. I will stick by a team through lean years, but I will not stand by a team that isn't trying.

You changed your tune in this post from the one to which I responded. In that one, you said you didn't want to watch that bunch of chokers any more. The chokers line is certainly fair given the way they have blown games this season, but your post suggested you allowed your bitterness over this season to push you to the point of not wanting the Steelers to succeed because you are tired of watching the 2018 version of the team. If that was the case, no, you are not a fan. At least not this season.

I am glad you have changed your story. Hopefully you will be with us rooting for the Steelers and the Browns Sunday.

I'm amazed so many people are surprised by the outcome of the season. I saw this coming since AFC Championship vs. Patriots. Steelers are on the decline. Until changes are made, it's gonna be more of the same.... mediocrity.

That's not true. I had hope during 2014, 15 & 16 seasons. It looked like a good window to bring home #7. This window was ruined by injuries, losses to inferior teams and sub-par playoff performances. This current team is not nearly as good as those teams were, IMO. If by some miracle the Steelers get in, I don't see them winning any games... it will be one and done again like last year.

Anyone who is surprised by this season obviously doesn't pay attention. We always play down to the competition and no matter who we put on the field, 8-8 or 14-2 wouldn't surprise me .We're wildly inconsistent. Have been for a long time now .

It's so frustrating to have zero faith in your team
