Has anyone heard anything new on Silverback`s injury?
I`m kinda surprised he is still on the pup list, with almost no talk about it.
I have been on the Gazette, and the Tribune, but they don`t seem to be saying anything about it.
That feels like a bad sign to me. If there was progress, I would expect them to talk it up.
Also, the same question about Worillds.. Anyone know how he is doing?
Apparently John Clay went down with a pretty bad injury to his hip/groin, in camp , I think yesterday. Any news on that?
All I know is it said he went down in obvious pain, and had to be carted off...
Wow. Just when I thought we had MORE than enough depth at rb, we`re down to? Um? Batch.
Redman, Dwyer, and Clay all injured, along with obviously Mendy still re-habbing.
I am hoping at least the Redman, and Dwyer injuries aren`t serious, but who knows?
I`m hoping Starks will be back soon, to give Adams some time to heal, and learn. He seems to need it.
After watching McClendon play, I am a whole lot less worried about how Hampton can do when/if he comes back.
    Let`s see, who else?
I`m sure I am forgetting some. Seems to be a pretty long list of hurt players right now.
Didn`t Cortez Brown, or one of the other young cb`s have an injury against Philly?
    Any word on that?
Not trying to post a negative thread, just concerned about a lot of hurt players right now.
Especially worried that J.H. hasn`t even practiced yet, and the lack of info about it. :hmmm:
Appreciate any light that can be shed on this front.
    GO STEELERS! :yeehaw:

I say Harrison misses one more preseason game, and comes back for the next one. But that is a total guess. Worilds will probably miss all of them. I think they're both supposed to be back for week 1.

As long as they both healthy for game one, I will be happy.
Just strange, to me, that they are not saying ANYTHING about James, at this point.
Jason, eh,.. would like to have him healthy, but he`s not a key player, YET...Just, Depth, that we can always use.
I know most of these guys play thru injuries on a regular basis, and if they listed everyone with a knick, or ding, it would be most of the roster, but it just seemed like a lot of players were listed, already, at a point, where I thought they should be the healthiest...
Maybe it`s a good thing, that our bye week comes in week 4?
Seemed awful early to me...
With how young, we got, this off-season, I wasn`t expecting to hear that so many guys have injuries this early.
Oh well, at least we aren`t as bad off as the Clowns, with half their roster either hurt, or suspended, to start the year.... LOL...
    :roflmao:
    :yeehaw:

Tomlin likes to keep the older veterans injury free for the season and he also understands these guys need less practice and its of paramount importance they can be healthy for the entire season. So its about preservation for the season imho

The less wear and tear on his 34 year old body the better, especially coming off back surgeries. We'll see him on the field in plenty of time before game 1.

I went to camp on Sunday and Harrison, Hampton, Starks, Mendenhall, and somebody else I didn't recognize were all running with the head trainer on the far field. Harrison looked fine. Hampton, of course, was really dragging.

It is being reported locally that Silverback may need knee surgery, this is not good.
    if it is true?

I was at camp yesterday and I saw the same exact thing except for Harrison. He never came out, but but Hampton was dragging and even sat on the water cooler for about a half hour while Mendenhall and Starks and the others walked around. Jason Worilds came out and signed autographs for a while, he stood on the steps and had the kids throw their footballs up to him and he would sign them and throw them back.

i don't think that should be a problem for him. i've had mine scoped, though it depends on what they did, i'm sure. my dr. told me the day they did it was as good as it's going to get. it's just the invasiveness that takes some time. i walked on mine just hr's after. i wasen't suppose to but had to try it. the stiffness in it took a little while to get out of there for the full range of motion. 10 days they usually say before he could start doing some things again. he IS one they don't need to hurry with.

Funny, if I had waited two days to post this.. I would have had most of my answers.
Clay waived, Starks activated, Redman with some mysterious groin injury that is being MRI`d, plus a new hip injury in camp today, Harrison w/ surgery, "minor" shoulder injury for Dwyer... WOW...
I don`t like all this, but what can ya do?
We`ll deal with it, and hope the next man can "uphold the standard" as well as possible!
    GO STEELERS!!!
