We have to match what the Ratbirds do the rest of the season. If they go 2-0 we have to. If 1-1, we have to.

A wildcard is unlikely. I suppose if Indy lost this weekend because they may be in position where they can be lazy and lose then have to win the last game anyway to get in, that would open the door.

if I had to make percentages... not counting wildcard(highly unlikely)

    Chargers beat Ravens = .75%
    Ravens beat Chargers = .25%

    Saints beat Pittsburgh = .70%
    Pittsburgh beats Saints = .30%

    Pittsburgh beat bengals = .90%
    bengals beat pittsburgh= .10

    browns beat ravens= .50%
    ravens beat browns = .50%

chances of winning division sunday =23%
chances of winning division all together = 68%

I'll add 5% of making the wildcard
so chances of making the playoffs are like 73% using my random bad math calculations that don't make sense lmao

That all sounds really accurate. Hopefully it's enough. Steelers have a way of having the impossible happen to them.

Baltimore losing to San Diego is the only way we get in. Or pray for a Cleveland miracle

Cleveland is no joke. Ravens will have their hands full with them. Browns have the D to neutralize Jackson. With that said...the Chargers/Ravens game will be more stressful than Saints/Steelers.

Steelers control their own destiny. Get these two wins and who cares what the Rats do. This Saturday's game will be no different for me. I root hard against the Ravens every week.

Yes but realistically we are not beating NO in the dome. I mean anything is possible but especially down Conner and JuJu not likely at all. Therefore we need San Diego to come through

I'm usually doom and gloom, but Saints haven't been lighting up the scoreboard as of late. If Heyward, Tuitt and Hargrave get pressure and rattle Brees... Steelers will have a good chance at victory. Brady was off. Brees is easier to disrupt.

Conner would not make a difference in my estimation since NO will likely be able to stop the run. If the Steelers are going to win it will rest on Bens shoulders and he will be airing it out.

Yea but without juju? Tough but we got this. Still want chargers to come through to ease the nervousness lol

Conner would likely pass-block better than Samuels.

I’m glad Eli came back and performed last week. Hopefully, he can pick up some of the missing-JuJu slack.

It will be interesting let’s say if the Steelers win this week in New Orleans and wrap up the division and the Texans lose in Philly which is definitely possible and the Patriots lose to the Bills which is very unlikely. In that case or even if one of Houston or the Pats lose on Sunday the Steelers would go into the last week with a chance to still be the 3 seed over the 4 seed which would avoid playing either the Chiefs or Chargers in the wildcard round. Plus, they might also have a chance at a bye week still as well or finishing ahead of the Patriots just Incase they meet them somehow in the playoffs again. So it will be interesting to see if Tomlin plays guys like Ben and AB or if he settles for being in the playoffs and wants to keep them healthy for the playoffs as well.

I would be extremely surprised if the Ravens beat the Chargers in San Diego! ;)

With respect I'm not agreeing with your math:)

Chargers = 62% chance beating Ravens
Saints = 90% chance beating Steelers (injuries are painful)
Steelers beating Bengals = 100% They would never do that to us. Disclaimer: should an amazing thing happen where the Ravens lose and we win this week Steelers would rest their starters and Bengals could win.
Ravens = 80% chance beating Browns. Yes finally Cleveland has what makes for an NFL team but Ravens at home in a must win will handle them with strong defense.

Just going off probability based on records, example:you can calculate the probably that a .700 team will beat a .400 team, it will be >70%. here are probabilities for the 4 games in question

    Ravens beat Chargers : 26.6%
    Steelers beat NO: 20.5%

    Ravens beat Cle: 66.4%
    Steelers beat Cincy : 67.3%

These don't factor home field but they are unbiased values, not tinged by homer emotion. And I think they are reasonable. In the NFL, all teams are good enough to beat you. Even when you have a huge mismatch, say for example Pit playing the lowly Raiders. Based on records at game time, Pitt had an 89.2% chance to win. You remember how that went.
